The Monster Hunter Wilds beta on PC has officially been extended by Capcom

Capcom confirms that PC players will get extra time with the Monster Hunter Wilds beta, after a PlayStation Network outage stopped PS5 owners from playing the game over the weekend. Even though everyone on Steam was unaffected by the console downtime, the final stint of the beta ahead of launch has been extended across all platforms for 24 hours, meaning you get even more time to try Wilds out before launch.

Yesterday evening, the Ask PlayStation support account on Twitter declared an end to this weekend's strange PlayStation Network outage, almost 24 hours on the dot after the issues first began. Sony is offering five free days of PS Plus (the paid component of PlayStation Network) as recompense, while Capcom has said that it may offer an extension on the Monster Hunter Wilds beta to make up for the outage's impact...

The new trial for Capcom's upcoming RPG lets you go toe-to-toe with its fearsome flagship monster, and it's a terrifying first taste. Fast, aggressive, and with long-range attacks using its signature chains, the cover star is a serious threat, especially given that we're going up against it undergeared and with a 20-minute time limit.
