The eternal winter has arrived, and with it comes a brutal test of endurance. We're diving into the core survival mechanics of Permafrost - the systems that shape every step of your journey through the cold, broken world.

[h3]The Cold Will Kill You[/h3]
The world is frozen solid - not just cold, but lethal.
Managing body temperature is critical. Stay exposed too long and you’ll freeze to death. Some areas, known as Cold Zones, hold rare resources but come with an extreme risk. You’ll need the right gear and timing to survive them.

[h3]Scavenge. Craft. Adapt.[/h3]
In a world stripped of comfort, everything you need must be found or made.
Scavenge ruins for pre-collapse tech, batteries, metal scraps, and fuel. Craft tools, weapons, clothing, and other essentials. Your survival depends on how well you adapt to what’s left behind.

[h3]Shelter is Survival[/h3]
Your first task is to secure shelter - not just for warmth, but to store supplies and begin building a future. Restore abandoned structures, reinforce walls, heat your base, and expand over time. Eventually, you'll be able to farm food, craft advanced gear, and offer safety to other survivors.

[h3]Your Companion in the Wasteland[/h3]
Early in your journey, you'll rescue a loyal dog companion.
This four-legged friend is more than a morale boost: it can warn you of threats, help carry items, and detect dangers before it’s too late. You’ll quickly learn to rely on your companion in the harshest conditions.

[h3]From Scrap to Firepower[/h3]
At first, you’ll rely on primitive weapons - makeshift bows, or modified tools.
But as you scavenge parts and learn old-world techniques, you’ll gain access to firearms - shotguns, rifles, and other proper weapons to deal with both wild predators and human threats.

[h3]Exploration & Risk[/h3]
The map is large, open, and unforgiving. On foot, you'll explore frozen cities, forests, and industrial ruins in search of materials, tech, and shelter.
But every step away from safety is a gamble. Time, temperature, and threats are always ticking.

[h3]Survive Together[/h3]
Permafrost supports online co-op for up to four players.
Whether you team up with friends or go solo, survival is never easy - but it’s always meaningful. Share supplies, build together, and defend your shelter from the cold and the chaos.
