Vivid Tale joins the Steam Debut Festival 2025!



Greetings!

Vivid Tale is part of the Steam Debut Festival 2025 — an event where debut games take the stage for the very first time! We’re excited to invite you to experience our cozy RPG with turn-based battles and a deep story in the free demo available now.

Update #5 for the Demo is Out!

The latest update for the demo is now available!

Key Changes:
  • Fixed several minor bugs.
  • Updated the start screen with a new "About Full Version" tab, social media links, and a wishlist button.
  • Added a custom cursor.
  • Introduced transition animations between main menu screens.
  • Added sound effects for card interactions and menu elements.
  • Menu elements now highlight on hover.
  • Dimmed "old" cards in dialogues.
  • Trimmed the opening monologue.
  • Sped up the appearance of new cards in dialogues.
  • Enabled drag-and-drop functionality for skill cards onto heroes and enemies in combat.
  • Reworked some attack animations in the first battle.
  • Added camera movement when using skills and items.
  • Activated the inventory menu and added the ability to change character equipment.
  • Reduced the prologue map size by ~130 tiles.
  • Added small environmental details and "cloud shadows" to the prologue map.
  • Introduced background sounds for the street and hall locations.
  • Replaced the "romantic" dialogue with a battle.
  • Updated attack animations in the Goose Fight.
  • Adjusted the volume of certain lines and replaced some voiceovers.
  • Added "Thank you for playing the demo" cards after the final monologue.


Development is ongoing! Our next major goals are a full-fledged skill menu and a large-scale rework of the combat system.

Demo Update #4

Salute!

So, here’s the final autumn update! We’ve got damage numbers popping up during battles, a character menu, and not one but two amazing new tracks — fanfare and final boss fight music for the demo.

Demo update #3

Hello!

Here’s a quick update:

— The combat table has been modified. Skill and item cards now look and are arranged differently. Also, card sticking issues have been fixed;
— The introductory dialogue with the Narrator has been slightly shortened;
— One of the fonts has been replaced, and symbol issues in Polish and French localizations have been corrected;
— Minor adjustments have been made on the main location map;
— Slightly redesigned the Seaver and Yaroslav cards;
— Save functionality has been tweaked.

Demo Update #2

Hey everyone!

We carefully reviewed all your feedback and made several changes. Added a victory screen for battles, fixed the save system, added a loading screen, and finally, we integrated Polish localization (there are some minor issues with one of the fonts, but we will fix them very soon).

Guys, your feedback is extremely important to us, so please let us know anything you'd like us to add or fix.
