v2.0.0 Announcement

Hello!

I'm excited to announce that Project Zero has been updated to Version 2.0.0.
This update primarily involves transitioning to a new networking solution, Photon Fusion, while retaining the core gameplay experience.

Due to time constraints, some game modes are unavailable: Gun Game, Elimination, Bots, Bomb, and Training. These modes will be reintroduced in the coming weeks.

The switch to Photon Fusion was prompted by the expiration of previous networking license and the advantages Photon Fusion offers for indie development, including better scalability and support.

Major Update 2.0.0

[h3]OVERHAULED[/h3]
  • All new networking.
  • Better and more reliable input system. Due to this, previous custom input bindings are no longer working and need to be set again.


[h3]ADDED[/h3]
  • Added ability to walk so no one can hear where you are.
  • Added "CONNECTED TO REGION" to bottom right in Lobby to easily see where you are connected to.


[h3]REMOVED[/h3]
  • Sliding and running has been removed.

Patch 1.1.5

  • Fixed many bugs in Practice With Bots
  • Fixed hitmark not showing when shooting AI's in the head.
  • Fixed Ping showing "{}" brackets in Practice With Bots, Training & Tutorial
  • Fixed bugs in Gun Game, Bomb, and Elimination.
  • Fixed couple issues with Developer Console.
  • Fixed an issue where the player would keep moving when a round or match is finished.
  • Fixed some issues happening with Grenade explosion.
  • Possible fix for double molotov throw & flames.

Patch 1.1.4

This patch was supposed to come a lot earlier, but I have been working on a huge thing for Project Zero which is why this came so late.

Some settings and everyone's loadouts have been reset due to this update.

  • Added Third-Person animation for holding utility.


[h3]CHANGES[/h3]
  • Increased Spawn Protection time from 2 -> 4.
  • Pistols in Third-Person no longer use "Rifle Run" animation, but instead a "Pistol Run" animation.
  • Switched Bombsites around in Container.
  • SCAR-H now fires & reloads a bit slower.
  • Overhauled Bullet Penetration which is now much more accurate.

  • Fixed a bug where in "Create" you could not choose anything.
  • Fixed a bug where players weren't able to fire with Revolver.
  • Fixed Revolver fire animation.
  • Fixed an issue which didn't allow base weapons to be inspected in Lobby.
  • Fixed MiniMap cutting out some objects.
  • Fixed errors & exceptions not being send.
  • Fixed weapons showing up in incorrect positions on Default Team 1 Operator.
  • Fixed Fire Axe, Axe & Butcher playing "swoosh" sound too early if clicking "Fire" rapidly.
  • Fixed "throw" animation looping while holding utility.
  • Fixed Knife & Utility in Third-Person using "Rifle Run" animation.
  • Fixed Foot IK not working correctly when crouching with Pistols.
  • Fixed player being in the air when planting or defusing the Bomb.
  • Fixed not being able to crouch/uncrouch when planting or defusing the Bomb.
  • Fixed some sounds disappearing randomly.
  • Fixed an issue where if you wanted to leave the room while respawning, it would get stuck.
  • Fixed an issue with sliding when releasing crouch key.
  • Fixed player's data resetting due to bad code design.
  • Fixed weapon fire sounds not being audible at times.

  • Improved Team Selection user interface.
  • Improved some Pop Up windows in Lobby.
  • Improved how Player Avatars show up in FFA and Gun Game.
  • Lighting has received a lot of improvements.
  • Optimized network traffic usage.

  • Improved performance.
  • Improved Third-Person animations.
  • Improved how data is being sent to PlayFab so that loadout changes, etc will be correct.
  • Added "slide" audio for SCAR-H reload animation.
  • Improved Player footsteps sounds so that they are not heard from really far away.
