Castle of Blackwater l Patch Notes 2.3.5

[h3]Fixes & Improvements:[/h3]
  • Resolved multiple issues with Voting Round Teleportation, including:
  • Ghosts experiencing black screens during voting rounds. (Possible Fix)
  • Players not properly teleporting into voting rounds.
  • Improved overall teleportation logic for smoother and more stable transitions.
  • Fixed the Voting Results occasionally breaking in the voting chat, ensuring results display reliably.
  • Fixed an issue where the Safe Zone / Castle button wouldn’t update when teleporting between floors (e.g., Castle, Safe Zone). The button now correctly reflects the player’s location.
  • Fixed a Beer Pouring bug where liquid could fall through the mug at a certain angle.

Thanks so much for reporting bugs over the past few days, it’s helped us squash some game-breaking issues! :bug:

[h3]🐛Bug fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed a visual bug with the Werewolf objective
  • Fixed an issue where gravestones and bodies would not disappear after the voting round.
  • Added missing descriptions for mini-games: Hammer Time and Painful Puzzle.
  • Fixed a bug where a ghost possessing another player during the voting transition could cause a camera crash due to the Record Keeper's active ability.
  • Fixed a bug where dead music would start playing over and over again
  • Implemented emergency voting cost changes (lower cost, goes down by 1 per day cycle)

Emergency Meeting! The Tracker Arrives!

To all the Villagers and everyone in Blackwater Town!

Whispers spread through Blackwater… a mysterious new update has arrived! The other factions are about to bite the dust with our newest addition to the Protector faction:

[h3]👣The Tracker, "Spike" [/h3]

Spike has mastered the art of tracking footprints and following movements. With this character in play, you’ll need to watch every step you take, someone might be silently following your every move!


[h3]His Abilities[/h3]
  • ✨Active | Mystical Dust: Secretly throw mystical tracking dust on another player, leaving a trail behind them as they move through the castle.
  • 👁️Passive | Tracker’s Eye: Use heightened vision to see the dust trails, allowing you to follow players and verify their alibis.

[h3]💡Playstyle Tips[/h3]
The Tracker thrives on observation and timing. Don’t be afraid to use your ability early, especially if someone seems suspicious. Throw your dust subtly so the target doesn’t know they’re being tracked. Follow their trail to gather intel and piece together the truth. Take notes to spot patterns, catch liars and reveal them to the group, nothing’s more satisfying than exposing the truth, right?

[h3]📯New Mechanic – Emergency Vote[/h3]
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve added a brand-new mechanic: the Emergency Vote!

📜How it works:
During the day cycle, players can now call an emergency vote to discuss suspicions and take action without waiting for the normal voting round. Each game allows up to 3 emergency votes. Once per day cycle, players can call for an emergency vote. This brings real-time tension, forcing players to defend or deceive on the spot! Required votes to initiate an Emergency Vote:
  • 5 Players → 3 votes
  • 6 Players → 3 votes
  • 7 Players → 4 votes
  • 8 Players → 4 votes
  • 9 Players → 5 votes
  • 10 Players → 5 votes

This change will speed up gameplay and make the social deduction aspect even more intense. No more sitting on vital information, you’ll now need to defend or deceive in real-time, adding a whole new layer of strategy.

[h3]🔧Improvements[/h3]
  • Added a spotlight effect during voting rounds for better clarity.
  • Painful Puzzle task difficulty increased from Easy → Medium.

[h3]🪲Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Disruptor ability now properly disrupts all abilities including the effect of the Knight shields.
  • Fixed Werewolf XP progression issues.
  • Psychic Active Ability: Blocking off a room now has lower visibility at night compared to daytime.
  • Corrected Werewolf win condition.
