1/31 Hotfix

■ Update Version: v0.4.6


[h2]■Update (EA ver.)[/h2]
  • Fixed an issue that item was duplicated when right-clicking to put in the hot bar while enchanting.
  • Fixed an issue that spike barrier in the desert are overlapped and arranged, and could be retrieve several times.
  • The issue where the creator's information was missing when placing a glowing lantern, preventing interactions such as retrieval and destruction, has been fixed.



[h2]■Update (Beta ver.)[/h2]
  • There was a lock with its selling price set to a negative value, which has been fixed.
  • Fixed an issue where character information was occasionally missing when the game crashed during saving or was turned off abnormally.



[h2]■Known Issue[/h2]
  • There is an occasionally excessive frame drop on the Host PC in the 4-player multiplayer beta version. It will be fixed in the next update.

4 Player Multiplayer Beta & 1/23 Hotfix

Hello Everyone,

Today is a special day!
We are proud to introduce to you the Beta version of the 4 Player Multiplayer, which just went live!
You can choose between "Play IfSunSets" and "4-Player Beta Build (Unstable)".
This option is available for all of our players.

Now we come to todays hotfixes:
Edit from 1/24: An additional fix was made a few hours after this update got life, which fixes an issue with the texture of the Glider in the game.

  • Fixed an issue where collision detection did not occur with certain terrain objects.
  • Fixed an issue where some 2x2 stairs that were buildable had different collision behavior than what was visually represented.
  • Fixed a missing texture issue for debris scattered when certain objects were destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue where players could destroy some structures placed in the world with a construction hammer.
  • Corrected typos and incorrect translations in the description of the soldier's sword.
  • Fixed an issue where beneficial fishing equipment had no effect when equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where attempting to teleport with a bed would result in being transported to an unintended location.
  • Removed unsuitable objects from the Arwen Defense Base.
  • Fixed an issue where items transferred from the Hotbar to the inventory were incorrectly recognized as newly acquired items.
  • Fixed an issue where the mining animation continued playing when the inventory was opened during mining.
  • Removed the collision detection for the Crown Ant Hat when equipped.
  • Fixed an issue where crops wouldn't grow even if there was enough water in the field.
  • Fixed an issue where the glider could still be used when equipped with a lantern.
  • Fixed an issue where the contents of the player's inventory disappeared after dying during crafting.
  • Fixed an issue where movement animation did not trigger after taking damage from thorns.
  • Fixed an issue where specific animations kept playing after using a ladder.
  • Fixed an issue where the UI window appearing after destroying a field couldn't be interacted with.
  • Fixed an issue where the character's torso rotated abnormally when rotating the camera while collecting contaminated water with an empty bottle.
  • Boss fight fog walls will now re-activate when the boss respawns.
  • Fixed an issue where the boat could be controlled without getting on it.
  • Fixed an issue where fishing could be done in areas without water.
  • Fixed an issue where night monsters would spawn when entering and exiting a dungeon even during safe nights.
  • Fixed an issue where the fairy’s attack would not function after dying and resurrecting while in fairy acquisition state.
  • Fixed an issue where the death marker and grave position were different after dying in a boss fight.
  • Fixed an issue where arrows would fly backwards when shot while running.
  • Removed an unknown empty icon on the 6th level of the armor workbench.
  • The durability reduction when traps attack monsters has been adjusted.
  • Fixed an issue where the Worm creature occasionally did not function correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where the interaction prompt wouldn't appear intermittently when first interacting with Blifia in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the chat history would disappear when a player respawned in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where sound effects and effects appeared differently for the host and guest in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where players could loot other players' chests in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where interactions with defeated monsters differed for the host and guest in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the growth state of trees and crops appeared differently for the host and guest in multiplayer.
  • Reduced the issue where certain monsters would teleport after playing attack animations in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where structures in the starting coastal area would reappear after loading the game in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the animations of player characters observing a boss fight were abnormal in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where a player’s character level was displayed as 1 immediately after respawning in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the texture of the boss fight puzzle object was not visible in the host environment.
  • Fixed an issue where movement was possible during building repair animation in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where building repair animation continued intermittently after completing repairs in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where the stamina value of a player appeared differently from the actual value in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where sound effects played in the host environment also played in the guest environment when interacting with the altar.
  • Fixed an issue where the appearance and effects of the glider were not visible in the guest environment when used.
  • Fixed an issue where a resurrected player during the night wave would continue to appear in a downed state in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where some monsters' attack detection did not work in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where blocking and crossbow shooting were not possible during combat in the guest environment.
  • Fixed an issue where monster attacks occasionally missed when playing as a guest in multiplayer.
  • Adjusted the attack detection for Crown Ant.
  • Adjusted aggro detection for monsters in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the health bar of distant monsters was visible when attacked by another player in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the Altars were activated after dying and respawning during a boss fight.
  • Reduced the issue where guest players occasionally disconnected from the session after teleporting or respawning in multiplayer.
  • Reduced the load on the host during teleportation and resurrection in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue where the name of a box would not be saved when changed and rejoined the game in multiplayer.
  • The auto-save feature has been optimized. (Reduced lag during auto-save)

  • Improved textures for certain objects.

[h3]■ Combat[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where the player would slide after moving immediately following a spear attack.
  • Fixed an issue where the second attack in the spear skill was only possible in the front direction.
[h3]■ Additional Improvements[/h3]
  • The NPC 'Thor' now sells bronze axes and bronze spears.
  • Animals no longer drop pouches when dead and maintain their appearance similar to monsters.
  • A guide for items with attributes has been added.

4 Player Multiplayer (Beta) starts January 23rd

Hello everyone!

We are excited to bring to you the beta version of the 4 Player Multiplayer.
Many of you were asking for it and the whole team was focusing on making the 4 Player Multiplayer possible!
Beginning Thursday, when starting the game via Steam, a pop-up window will appear in which our players can choose between "Play IfSunSets" and "4-Player Beta Build (Unstable)".
This option is available for all of our players.
Play IfSunSets:
  • Starts the Standard Early Access Version of IfSunSets as you know it
  • Up to 2 Players can play online together

4-Player Beta Build (Unstable):
  • Starts the 4-Player Beta Build of IfSunSets
  • Up to 4 Players can play online together
  • Savedata from the Beta is not compatible with the Standard Early Access Version
  • Once the Beta concludes, the saved data may no longer be usable.
  • Although internal testing did not show any game breaking issues, there might be still some bugs and this version of the game might still be a bit unstable compared to the standard version of IfSunSets.

* Multiplayer between players of the Standard Early Access Version and the Beta is not possible

The 4 Player Beta Build will be available from Thursday, January 23rd until Wednesday, February 5th.
