Something sinister has crawled up from the depths and possessed our beautiful trains!

In this fun Halloween update, an 8-legged nightmare train has descended upon our peaceful world, replacing every freight train with its terrifying brethren!

This special update will run exclusively from 14:00 CET on October 25th to 18:00 CET on November 2nd.

If you’d like to take part, you can activate the special Halloween mode from the game's main menu.



We’ve also teamed up with Two Star Games to create a special 'Chill & Thrill Trains' Steam bundle. Both "Station to Station" and "Choo-Choo Charles" will be available in a Steam 'Complete the Set' bundle, offering an additional 10% discount on both titles.

We’re back again with another devlog to introduce you to the second region in Station to Station - Sunforge Sands. This region brings with it a brand-new biome, brand-new mechanics, and brand-new industries that weren’t in the demo!

Settle down and relax as we take you through what you can expect from our second region.

[h3]Industries[/h3]

Region 2 brings with it never-before-seen industries!

We don’t want to spoil them all for you, but there’s a lot of mining involved with heavy industrial tools like our excavator hard at work in the desert heat.



Region 2 also brings with it a brand new mechanic for you to discover - Passengers!

By connecting two cities to each other directly with a passenger train, your citizens can travel from one city to another! This also brings with it a brand new train - The Crampton!



This is just a brief overview of our second region, but there’s so much more to discover in the full game!

Thank you for continuing to report bugs all the bugs that you've found in Station to Station! We will continue to squash them as fast as we can for you.

Here's a full list of fixes for this patch:

• Added some more variation to trees in Riverbend Woods.
  
• Fixed that completing the fund challenge would in rare circumstances sometimes not save.
  
• Made an automatic backup system for saves, hopefully fixing the issue that in extremely rare cases all progress would be lost. Please contact us if this issue still happens to you!
• Fixed that parallel tracks would sometimes not be recognized.
  
• Fixed that while creating a railroad, hovering over lost goods or building spawn indicators would block the railroad.
  
• Fixed that you could have multiple keys assigned to the same key binding after pressing "reset to defaults".
  
• Fixed that the game would not respond to gamepad input when you press select on the level completed popup while using gamepad.
  
• Fixed that the bridge warning would sometimes not appear in level Greendale 4.
  
• Fixed that entering station mode while choosing an industry to build would spawn the new industry in the corner of the map.
  
• Optimized performance while creating a new railroad. Long railroads now reduce the framerate much less.
  
• Minor tweaks and fixes to railroad visuals.
  
• Fixed missing lines in the localization.
  
• Fixed that enabling and disabling cards using gamepad forced the train selection wheel to re-open after it has been closed, causing some issues.
  
• Fixed that a dragged station would automatically be placed when you clicked on the pause button.
  
• Fixed that certain tooltips would persist on the screen during Create Industry and Upgrade City mode while using gamepad.
  
• Fixed that you could break the tutorial by entering station mode in the first second of the first tutorial.
  
• Fixed that the gamepad cursor would sometimes be visible when it should be hidden.
  
• User interface tweaks to remove overlapping UI and out of bound texts in certain cases.
  

Hello conductors,

It’s been just over a week since we released Station to Station on Steam and our journey doesn’t end there... As we approached release and saw the amazing response to our game from the community, we made plans to add additional bonus content after launch!

We've thoroughly enjoyed making Station to Station, so we want to continue to update Station to Station into 2024.

Here’s a brief overview of our plans, but we’ll go into more detail below.



[h2]Update 1 - November[/h2]
Our first update will be coming as soon as next month (November 2023) and will bring with it a whole new region to explore! That means 5 (or 6!) new levels, with new industries and new cards to discover!

Our team is currently hard at work creating this update so we don’t have anything to show off yet, but we should have some more information to share with you soon.

[h2]Update 2 - December[/h2]
In December we will be releasing our second update.

This update will mainly focus on updating pre-existing content, but will also add a highly requested feature from our community that we weren’t able to squeeze in before launch - Photo Mode! Easily take screenshots of your beautiful scenes with free camera movement.

This update will also bring with it brand new levels that will be added to our current regions, as well as new options for generating custom levels.

We have so much more planned for the future of Station to Station and we hope you’ll stick around to see what we’re creating!

All of the content listed above will also be free updates to give back to our wonderful community. Station to Station is our first game as a studio and we really appreciate all of your support so far.

But if you can’t wait for these next updates, then don’t worry! Something spooky may be pulling into Station to Station before the end of the month… 👻
