Also, as you will see, there are a lot of exciting new things to look forward to![/p][p]Beyond the veil of our world lies Brackenreach, a mystical realm steeped in legend and guarded by three elemental witches. Now, through shimmering portals appearing across your homeland, you are invited to step into this spellbound valley to cross foggy swamps, brave eerie forests, and wind your way to the ancient Castle Brackenhelm. Help the witches and the villagers this Halloween by braving the haunted marshes to deliver vital Halloween supplies. The realm awaits your courage—and your arrival.[/p][p]Your personal goal? Complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, more detailed in the rules below. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]
On top of all this, you’re also encouraged to help spread the spooky and fun Halloween spirit across the rest of the world by delivering festive supplies to and from cities within the homeland. There will even be some enchanted cargo making its way from Brackenreach back to the homeland—perhaps the witches’ and villagers’ way of saying thank you for your help!

[/p][p]Witches of Brackenreach Rules:[/p][p]Using External Contracts with a World of Trucks-connected profile in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, or both, the community goal is to achieve 1,500,000 deliveries of Halloween treats and supplies to or from any city, including the mysterious land of Brackenreach, where your destination will be Castle Brackenhelm. [/p][p][/p][p]There are 4 types of cargo that can be delivered in this event:[/p]

2. [p]Halloween Costumes[/p]
3. [p]Halloween Herbs & Spices[/p]
4. [p]Halloween Crafts[/p]

[p]Your personal goal is to complete 15 Halloween deliveries across any trucking territory, including 3 to and 3 from Castle Brackenhelm, using Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both games combined.[/p][p]Your bonus goal is to discover the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, by driving to it.[/p][p]Rewards[/p]

• [p]Personal: Players who complete the required 15 or more Halloween deliveries will gain a unique World of Trucks Achievement plus an enchanted Witch's Compass cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.

• [p]Community: When the community goal of achieving 1,500,000 Halloween deliveries is met, and if the player has also achieved their personal goal, then they will receive a bewitched Black Cat hanging cabin item, as a Steam inventory item.

• [p]Discovery: When the player discovers the Witch House, hidden within the land of Brackenreach, they will receive a Spooky Horn vehicle accessory as a Steam inventory item.
  
  Brackenreach directions:[/p][p]A portal to Brackenreach appears once you accept event cargo bound for Castle Brackenhelm.  Find it on the map, a spiral icon, and navigate to it. Look for the sparkles with falling autumn leaves!

  Leaving Brackenreach with cargo takes you to its destination; without cargo, you’ll be sent to a random city for a new job.[/p][p]Note: In order to qualify for any community reward, you must complete at least your personal goal in Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator or both. Each reward will be a Steam inventory item for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator. Once completed, claim your reward in the Events page on your World of Trucks profile.
  
  The event will be concluded on Sunday, the 16th of November at 23:59 UTC.[/p][p]This is our biggest Halloween event ever, and we are super excited to learn of your brave and exciting journeys to the legendary land of Brackenreach, and if you even dared to search for the three guardian witches. It has been such an incredible effort by all the teams to create this wonderful new place, and we’d be thrilled to see photos of you as you venture through all the challenges, reach your goals and enjoy the spoils, this season of Halloween. [p]We are really excited to introduce a new truck to the world of Euro Truck Simulator 2! Thanks to a great collaboration with DAF Trucks, the DAF XF Electric is joining our electric line-up, and truckers can already drive it through the Quick Jobs section in the game. Let's take a look at this newest addition![/p][p][/p][p]The DAF XF Electric is part of the New Generation DAF models and features the advanced, fully electric PACCAR drive system. In the Quick Jobs section, this truck comes in a 4x2 chassis configuration, equipped with the PACCAR EX-D2 electric motor. Power comes from five battery packs with a combined capacity of 525 kWh. [/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]This model also stands out with its striking white and blue paint scheme, originally designed by DAF Trucks, which gives the electric truck a modern and distinctive appearance.[/p][p][/p][p]The interior features an additional rear side window and a folded "cinema" passenger seat, enhancing visibility from the cab and providing greater safety when navigating Europe's narrow streets.[/p][p][/p][p]As mentioned in the past, the transition to electric vehicles brings unique challenges within our virtual world. While our team is working hard to develop the necessary infrastructure, traditional fuel stations cannot simply be converted into charging stations without significant modifications.[/p][p][/p][p]That's why the DAF XF Electric is currently available only for Quick Jobs, with a maximum range of 350 kilometres per delivery. In case you happen to run out of charge, an emergency recharging service is available for a fee. We believe you'll enjoy the unique experience of driving this state-of-the-art truck, with its impressive acceleration, speed, and quiet, smooth performance on the road. So let's see what you can expect to see when this rework project is finished![/p][p][/p][p]The Benelux countries have been shaped by rivers, canals, and the sea for centuries. Especially in the Netherlands, people learned long ago how to live with this powerful element - building dikes, canals, and polders to hold it back or turn it into fertile land. Large parts of the Netherlands actually lie below sea level, which makes the extensive system of dams and barriers vital for keeping the land safe and habitable. [/p][p][/p][p]Windmills, which you can still spot across the countryside, were once an essential part of draining swamps and reclaiming new ground. And as you can see, our map designers have been working to bring this unique sight into ETS2. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]When trucking through this area, you will be able to see that water doesn't play an important role only in the landscape of Benelux, but it's also vital for its logistics. Natural rivers flow alongside man-made canals, both serving transport purposes and providing calm spaces for relaxation. And don't forget about the mighty North Sea, which shapes the northwestern coasts of Belgium and the Netherlands and makes them home to some of Europe's largest and busiest container ports.[/p][p][/p][p]On your trucking adventures, you may find yourself crossing the famous Afsluitdijk, the dam that separates the IJsselmeer lake from the sea, or rolling over bridges that span the Waal, one of the main branches of the Rhine. [p]Today we are excited to give you a first look at Ålesund, an interesting and unique city that will be featured in our upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This city is built on several islands, connected by bridges and tunnels that make for an exciting coastal layout on your journey there! Let's take a closer look shall we?


Visiting Ålesund will offer you a route unlike most others. The E136 highway brings you directly into the city centre, where narrow streets are lined with colourful buildings and waterfront views open up between them. From here, drivers will be able to continue westwards into a marine area that is home to a fisheries depot, one of several industries represented in and around the city.[/p][p][/p][p]
Fishing has long been a cornerstone of Ålesund’s economy, but today the city is also an important hub for a variety of sectors. Truckers can expect to encounter jobs connected to a container port, a beverage factory, a chemical plant and a logistics company. With so many opportunities located in a relatively compact area, Ålesund will surely become a busy stop in any driver’s schedule across Norway and beyond.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Ålesund is also known for its distinctive architecture. After a fire in 1904 destroyed much of the city, it was rebuilt in the Art Nouveau style, which remains one of its defining characteristics today. Players will notice this influence as they pass landmarks such as the Art Nouveau Centre, the Kube Art Museum, Hellebroa bridge and Rådhusplassen square. Overlooking it all is the hillside of Aksla, which provides a natural backdrop that truckers may spot on the skyline as they drive through.

[/p][p]Often described as one of Norway’s most charming cities, Ålesund also serves as a gateway to nearby fjords. While truckers will be focused on deliveries and depots, we believe the city’s atmosphere and unique look will leave a lasting impression as you pass through its streets and industries.
