1.2.1 Patch

Hello and welcome to 1.2.1! We have a few bugfixes and a micro feature.

MICRO FEATURE:
- In Endless Mode, add an option to automatically sell harvested data every 10 seconds via the Surveillance Hub. Maybe that saves you some clicks. Thanks to 47GodlikeKittinSoldier for posting the idea on the discussion board!

BUGS:
- Made it impossible to open more than one instance of FACEMINER (as in the actual Steam Game, not the in-game-meta-software), which will hopefully help to resolve any remaining Windows 11 alt+tab issues.
- More work towards ensuring Endless Mode remains stable during longer sessions for all users. Do let me know if you are still running into issues after this update.
- Made clock position more robust across different resolutions.

Thank you for playing!

Pre-1.2.0 Patch

Hello! Today, we have a little pre-release of the 1.2.0 update. 1.2.0 will be all about localization, but before it’s time for that, we squash a couple of bugs.

Bugfixes:

- Fix issue where the game would forget whether special effects were disabled on launch. Or, to be more specific, figured out why the game would crash on launch if it started with special effects disabled so we could enable the remembering.

- Get closer to fixing issue where uncloseable phantom windows appear for some Windows 11 users after alt-tabbing the game (or changing the window size). This is pretty much the final boss of launch bugfixes but it should now be happening for less of you.

- Very quietly add first batch of translations. Soft launch for these while the full list goes through final checks; more languages and a larger announcement coming soon.

Thank you for playing.

1.1.3: You can hack and modify your saves now

Warning: very minor end game state spoilers ahead

Hello!

1.1.3 is now live, and has a fun new feature: the Memory Override executable. This appears on the end game desktop (you know the one) after finishing the game, and lets you dive into and modify all of the saves you made in that specific run. The whole game state is up for grabs. This includes stuff like:

- Money
- Upgrades
- All of the in-game messages
- All of my secret dev settings

You can then export and share these modified saves as you wish. Kind of like a baby game modder.

The catch? These modified saves won’t count towards achievements, and will be marked as ‘modified’ elsewhere in the game, too. But it opens the door to some potentially fun and interesting ways of breaking the game.

Other, smaller changes:

- Can now, at last, delete datasets you have bought or harvested to clear your backlog
- Code has been migrated to use an i18n library, paving the way for translations. Has been rigorously checked but do let me know if you spot any syntax errors as this will be why. If you are a translator who has played the game and would be interest in localizing it (or providing localization QA) in your favorite language, get in touch with your rates!
