The Summer Holidays have come and passed, everyone is back at work and the number of Developer Blogs we bring out will increase again. In the past weeks, we have steadily been moving towards our next mid-season release. Many of our features have finished or are close to finishing and have entered the testing phase.

[h3]Developer Blogs[/h3]
In the developer blogs we share all the tasks that we have completed in the past few weeks, which features are currently being tested, are still being worked on and of course all the bugs that we have squashed! We will end each developer blog with a short look at what we will be working on in the upcoming weeks.

We will not always be able to share all the details of our work. Some items are too far in the future to talk about already. Certain tasks contain internal information that we just cannot share. Every once in a while, we might be working on something we want to surprise you with! We will do our very best to be as transparent as we can be!

Be advised that not every feature that we have completed will be deployed in the upcoming release. Some features are part of larger updates that will be released further into the future.

[h3]Done*:[/h3]
  • Increased AI accuracy to become more challenging
  • Chain-blocking fix: When a battle is lost, all reinforcements still moving on the line automatically retreat
  • Moved ‘promote to general’ button to make place for the ‘Career Orders’
  • Reduced war-victory deploy cost increase from 5% to 4,75%
  • Changes to early player progression: Game-modes unlock at different levels
  • Added a ‘purchase confirmation’ pop-up

[h3]In Testing*:[/h3]
  • Reduction of smoke on (most) infantry weapons
  • Changes to ‘blood splatters’ when a soldier is hit, to reduce view obstruction
  • Created and implemented introduction video
  • Created and implemented tutorials in the action game and in the flash client
  • Created and implemented career orders in the flash client
  • Many other small changes related to the tutorials and career orders
  • Several small UI tweaks in both action-game and client
[h3]Bug fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where the Daily Bonus screen popped up when pressing ‘to battle’
  • Fixed several localisation errors
  • Fixed an issue with the matchmaker, worldwide now includes nearby players, which were previously excluded from that count
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘battle rating stars' at the end of an action game did not stay highlighted
