Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life News

Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life teams up with leading space scientist 🚀
At this year’s TactiCon we made an exciting announcement – we will be working with Professor Konstantin Batygin, a Professor of Planetary Science at Caltech, who will be providing his expertise on all aspects of Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life.
This includes mission design and supporting on research and facts included in the Spacepedia. We are excited to have Professor Batygin working with us on Mars Horizon 2 as it means his knowledge and expertise will make the game as authentic as possible, meaning we can accurately portray the search for life.

Professor Batygin’s research has advanced the field of Solar System Exploration, and he is particularly well-known for his work on Planet 9, the massive celestial body that orbits our sun far beyond Pluto. This subject is among the most current and exciting topics in space exploration today, with Batygin leading the charge in both its discovery and ongoing theoretical characterisation.

Help shape Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life 🚀

You, our community, are the driving force behind Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life. Without you, there would be no sequel to Mars Horizon 1, and you gave us such good feedback on our first game, from the alpha, to the full release, and all the surveys in between.

So that's why we'd like to ask for your input once more. We're currently running a survey, where we’re looking for answers on what you would like to see in our new game Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life. We will also be asking about your gaming habits, and if you played Mars Horizon 1 (it's ok if you didn't!).

This survey will only take around 5 minutes of your time, maybe less, and they help us so much! To say thank you for your time, one lucky entrant will be selected to win a £25 Steam voucher, make sure you give us your email to be able to be entered! Entries will close Monday 15th May 2023 at 11.59pm BST.

Welcome to Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life! 🚀

The news is out! Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life is coming in 2024. We are so excited to share the development journey with you. To kick things off we’d like to introduce you to Tess, one of the producers on Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life.

🚀 Hello to all you Martians - waiting patiently on the Horizon!

I am sorry if you felt neglected, it has been deeply difficult to ignore your pleas for more content and prayers for updates. Instead, I have been biding my time and anticipating the day when I can finally say…
WE ARE MAKING MARS HORIZON 2!
Oh wow, that feels better.

The team behind Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life are passionate, dedicated, and have been researching astrobiology, rocket improvements, orbital mechanics, toon shaders, accessibility… etc. in pre-production for the last year.

Next, we are heading to Production to knuckle down and deliver the game our players truly want. We have been listening and we aim to please! We are going further into the future and searching for life- not just on Mars but through our solar system, letting the player play Astro-detective.

This won't be Mars Horizon 1.5. We are going to take what was great about Mars Horizon 1 and improve upon it, we are aiming for double as good!

Please enjoy our pre-alpha trailer full of things we are going to build on and refine over this next production process. I am looking forward to saying so much more but for now I will leave you with my cathartic exercise of spilling the space beans! Have them on toast and rest assured there are more courses to come.

Sending Meteors of love and gratitude to all the Mars Horizon fans that have been with us along the way.

Tess 👩🏻‍🚀

Explore the Solar System's edges in management sim Mars Horizon 2: The Search For Life

2020’s Mars Horizon was a space flight management game where you were in charge of constructing bases, building rockets, and leading missions into the black abyss. Nate (RPS in peace) liked it quite a bit for its “masterfully crafted strategic dilemmas,” despite his findom relationship with the game. Now Mars Horizon is getting an expanded sequel, taking us to the outer reaches of the Solar System. Mars Horizon 2: The Search For Life is releasing sometime in 2024 on PC.
