Action! - Gameplay Recording and Streaming News

Hi Everyone!

We are releasing one more update that includes important fixes that were made during Action! 5 development:

- [HOTFIX] Fixed problem with Forza Horizon 5 (Steam version)
- [HOTFIX] Fixed HDR10 recording/streaming support for AMD GPUs with latest (October) drivers installed
- Internal video player improvements
- Stability fixes

We will also let you know about our other BIG project called Remotly. It will be our new FREE app/service for remote/cloud gaming (with real-time voice and camera chat, ultra low sub-vsync lag, 4K/HDR remote gaming and much much more).

We have done some final improvements before official Windows 11 launch.

List of changes in this FINAL 4.x update can be found below:

• - Fixed mouse cursor rendering in high DPI or with custom cursor size/shape set
  
• - Fixed JPEG XL HDR metadata (JPEG XL screenshots are now compatible with latest Chrome browser that supports JPEG XL)
  
• - Fixed RTMP/RTMPS and HLS streaming auto-reconnection
  
• - Added Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC). Removes echo when recording without headset microphone or on systems with no hardware echo canceller. This option can be set in mic settings window.

Hi Everybody,

This version improves OriSound function (capturing audio from selected application or game).
Automatic switching between audio sources was not always working properly.

We have also improved GPU selection when 2 or more GPUs from the same vendor are present in the system. This is typical for laptops with AMD GPUs or the latest Intel laptops with Iris and Iris MAX (DG1) installed. The default GPU was used for encoding even if the game was running on the high performance one. Now Action! selects the GPU that will give the best performance and the least frame drop.

We have also fixed Action! not starting on Windows 11 build 22449.1000

Dear Users,

We would like to thank everyone for helping us in solving the following problems:

• - Very long file and folder names were not properly handled
  
• - Streams were disconnected after 4 hours and 39 minutes
  
• - Vulkan screenshots did not work
  
• - Recordings were split after 12 hours (now 47 days)
  

These problems are now resolved.

We are sorry for so many recent updates, but we are going through thousands of user messages as we do not want to leave any major bugs in Action 4 until Action 5 is ready.

We hope you will understand and are not angry at us...

- Improved recordings grouping into folders (Window and Device folders are created in Window and Device modes)
