Well, you guys have done it.

5 million mythics shot to pieces in under a week. None of you asked why. None of you asked if they were innocent, or even if they posed any threat. You just went in there, and you shot up a bunch of adorable puppies, chubby squids, and huggable monkeys.

Just so we're clear: the deaths of 5 million creatures are in your hands - and yes, that is essentially an extinction-level event.

From the bottom of our hearts and from everyone here at Mythic Protocol, we put that number out there on a lark, and you smashed it.

This playtest meant a lot to us. Despite the very rough state of our pre-alpha, you guys came in hour after hour, exceeding all our expectations and giving us feedback that will only serve to help us build Riftstorm into the game we all want it to be.

There's more to this than the number, and we hope to be able to show you just how much we appreciate your feedback - and your rampant murder sprees - as we buckle down and get ready for the next phase of production.

The community has spoken!
Challenge #1: Snipers-only run. It's going to be messy!
Challenge #2: Pick defensive lythons ONLY, or worst of the three lythons.
Challenge #3: Xi'an only weapons, challenge the Challenge Tower with Xi'an loots! Yup... may the RNG Gods bless us.

Aside from that, we will have an interactive stream! We invite @everyone here to join us on each of our streams and help us determine our run. Every action matters, and you... (unfortunately for us) have a say in it.

Starting today, November 15, 2023, we're finally releasing our public pre-alpha playtest where you can experience Riftstorm core mechanics, contribute with feedback, and improve the game in the future.

• Play co-op using lobby code and friend's list of up to 3 people.
  
• Experience 4 missions with a variety of difficulties and various loot to obtain.
  
• 3 Operatives with different strengths and specialties (Starling, Atlas, and Icarus).
  
• Compete in the playtest leaderboard and strive to be the best!
  
• Intense rogue-lite gameplay and co-op fun.
