The Front Version 1.0 Launches Globally on October 30

[p]On October 30, 2025, the open-world sandbox game The Front, known for its unique military theme, in-depth vehicle customization, and hardcore survival gameplay, officially launched its Steam 1.0 version worldwide, kicking off with a 15% launch discount for two weeks. This 1.0 update marks a major overhaul of the game’s late-game PVE content and core creative mechanics, promising players a more challenging, inventive, and combat-driven post-apocalyptic survival experience.
[/p]
Major Update: Vehicle Innovation and Zombie Horde Challenges
[p]The 1.0 release further strengthens The Front’s “militarized sandbox” identity, with all new content designed to enhance the strategic depth of vehicle combat and the thrill of battle.
[/p]
1.    Post-Apocalyptic Vehicle Campaign: Introducing the Zombie Horde Missions
[p]The all-new Zombie Horde missions are the highlight of the 1.0 update, offering an advanced PVE challenge that encourages players to engage in mobile combat with their vehicles.[/p]
 • [p]The Thrill of Steel Crushing: The Zombie Horde missions feature numerous destructible objects, allowing players to experience unmatched physics-based destruction and satisfying crowd-clearing action while driving heavy vehicles through hordes of zombies.[/p]
 • [p]Smarter zombies: The AI of the mission-specific mutants has been greatly enhanced, adding new behaviors such as jumping onto and clinging to vehicles. This forces players to keep moving and use vehicle defenses strategically, making combat more unpredictable.[/p]
 • [p]Two ultimate challenges: Two high-difficulty bosses have been added to the Zombie Horde missions, serving as the ultimate targets for players seeking top-tier equipment and technology.[/p]
[p][/p]
2.   Specialized Vehicle Arsenal and Functional Upgrades
[p]The Front’s signature vehicle assembly system receives a comprehensive expansion in the 1.0 release, with new functions and components that give players greater military engineering capabilities:[/p]
 • [p]Activation of specialized weapon systems: New weapons such as the flamethrower, toxin sprayer, and arc gun are introduced. These provide players with area control and sustained damage options, greatly expanding tactical possibilities for vehicle firepower.[/p]
 • [p]Multi-functional operations: New vehicle attachments such as saws, ore shovels, and harvesters allow vehicles to efficiently gather resources while remaining combat-capable. Additionally, new armor components like spiked wheels and wheel blades enable “meat grinder” style crushing of zombie hordes.[/p]
 • [p]Team collaboration and customization: The vehicle assembly platform now supports squad permissions, encouraging teammates to participate together in vehicle design and construction. In addition, a new paint system lets players personalize their vehicles, making them not only powerful but also stylish.[/p]
[p][/p]
Core Gameplay Recap: Define Your Path of Resistance
[p]Beyond the new content in the 1.0 release, The Front, as a hardcore sandbox survival game, continues to focus on core elements that players value: survival challenges, creative freedom, and both PVP and PVE combat.[/p]
 • [p]Exploration and technological progression: As remnants of the resistance, players must explore ruins and gather resources in a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with mutants, imperial forces, raiders, and rebels. They advance from primitive tools to futuristic military technology, working toward a mission that can reshape history.[/p]
 • [p]Sandbox construction and trap-based defense: The game offers hundreds of building components, allowing players to construct defensive bases without terrain limitations. The robust trap and tower defense system lets players set up integrated sensor, trigger, and damage networks to effectively fend off special mutants such as bomb-wielding maniacs and stealth assassins.[/p]
 • [p]Multi-faction combat (PVP/PVE): The game’s core battlegrounds feature clashes between players and between players and various NPC factions. The new NPC outpost system and dynamic reward-looting mechanics further simulate intense PVP offense and defense scenarios, testing players’ tactical execution.[/p]
[p][/p][p]The 1.0 release is not just a version update, but a full realization of our ‘militarized sandbox survival’ vision. We want players to be more than survivors—they should be engineers and tacticians of the apocalypse. With these major additions, we believe October 30 will deliver an unprecedented post-apocalyptic warfare experience for players.[/p][p] [/p][p]About The Front The Front is an open-world survival and construction game with a war theme. Players take on the role of a remnant resistance fighter, exploring, building, and developing technology while relying on a highly flexible vehicle assembly system. In a wasteland filled with raiders, mutant zombies, and imperial forces, they face multiple threats and strive to complete a mission that could reshape the course of history.[/p]
