Spell Disk Demo 1.14 version update

Spell Disk Demo version 1.14 patch notes:
  1. Revamped Elemental Affliction System: Elemental afflictions on enemies already under the effect of the elemental status no longer extend the duration of the elemental status; instead, they now deal damage to enemies already affected by the status effect. Spell balance has been adjusted accordingly to accommodate this new system, resulting in enhanced spell diversity.
  2. Upgraded Memory Management: Implemented a new memory management system to enhance game stability. The game is now less susceptible to crashes during extended play sessions. Additionally, various memory-related bugs have been resolved.
  3. Mouse Control Implementation: Players can now control the game using a mouse. Manage your inventory seamlessly with mouse control, and bind player actions to mouse buttons for added convenience.
  4. Expanded Key Configuration Options: Improved flexibility in key binding. With the exception of the ESC key, you can now bind any key to player actions. Previously, many keys beyond the standard 87 keyboard keys were rejected due to being unrecognized by the system.
  5. Enhanced Language Selection Menu: The language selection menu has been improved for a smoother experience. Your chosen language will now be remembered across different gaming sessions.
  6. New Audio Management System: A new audio management system prevents an excessive overlap of sounds, preventing them from amplifying each other as before when occurring simultaneously.
  7. Pause on Inventory: The game will now pause when the inventory is open and resume upon closing the inventory.
  8. Improved Game Over and Loading Screens: Both the game over and loading screens have been optimized and enhanced for a better user experience.
  9. Reduced Save Data Writes: The frequency of save data writes has been reduced. A save icon will indicate when the game is saving data. It's important not to turn off the game while the save icon is visible to avoid data corruption.
  10. Backup Data Save: The game now creates a backup data save upon application startup to safeguard against data corruption.
  11. Optimized 2D Lighting: Fine-tuned our 2D lighting system to ensure smoother and more efficient rendering, contributing to improved overall performance.
  12. Projectile Indicator for enemies: Enemies that utilize projectiles now feature an indicator, helping players anticipate and react to incoming attacks more effectively.
  13. Boss difficulty: Difficulty of the boss reduced. Moreover, we are working on refining the overall difficulty of the game to make it more accessible and enjoyable for players of all skill levels. Our intention is to provide a smoother progression curve of difficulty for new players. We are planning to introduce new challenges through the difficulty modifier system in the future.
  14. Improved Steam interface: The game is better integrated with the Steam interface.
  15. Adjusted Size and Text: Various elements such as size and text of UI have been adjusted to improve visual consistency and readability.
  16. Bug Fixes: Numerous bugs reported through feedback from Spell Disk Survivor have been addressed and resolved.
  17. Graphical Update for Enemies: Improved the visuals of some enemies.

These changes aim to enhance gameplay, stability, and overall user experience based on player feedback and ongoing development efforts. Nonetheless, considering the substantial nature of the modifications the game has undergone, there is a possibility of encountering unforeseen issues that we may not have anticipated. Should you come across any such issues, please let us know via the Steam forum or our official Discord channel. Thank you for your continued support and enjoy the game!

Spell Disk Survivor is released now!

I've been teasing "Survivor Mode" since I've released the demo of Spell Disk. I hope those grey texts on the main menu was building up some anticipation.

Today, a playable app of Survivor Mode is released on Steam for free to play! It turned out way better than I previously thought, and I am very satisfied with how fun the survivor mode game is. I need to get back to developing our main game, but for now, please feel free to enjoy the survivor mode of the game on Spell Disk Survivor.

Spell Disk Survivor is coming August 3rd!

Hi, all! You may have wondered what the survivor mode is when you were playing the demo of Spell Disk. I've got a good news! We are releasing a playable demo of the survivor mode of Spell Disk on August 3rd, as a part of our effort to gather more feedback and visibility. It will only provide a partial content of what will be included in the base game, so it's kind of another demo.

Also, our game is planned to be released on September of this year. So I hope this demo of Spell Disk Survivor can keep your interest until the release date. Thank you!
