Introducing 3 New Enemy Types

[p]The Ranged Henchmen fires at you from above, applying vertical pressure.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Stickman lumbers toward you and stomps you into the ground - that is if you don't shoot out it legs first.
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The shielded Corpse Shifter will deflect all bullets from your SMG or Pistol. You have to use the Hand Cannon to break its shields.

More combat updates coming soon! Here is 3 minutes of raw combat footage if you want to see a bit further behind the scenes.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Don't forget to checkout the current demo (Chapter 1) - we'll be replacing it with a combat heavy and system focused demo soon.

Progress on our Upgrade Bench + New Enemy Combat

[p]After seeing how much people liked exploring the environments in our game - we realized that adding items around each level would be a perfect reward for the curious player. This is a popular mechanic in horror games, so we knew it would add value to our game loop.[/p][p][/p][p]In additional to lore notes and ammo, our latest item is the Upgrade Node, which players find when they search in hidden areas of each level.[/p][p][/p][p]You'll also be able to find Upgrade Benches around the game where you can spend your Upgrade Nodes to improve your guns. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In other news, we’ve added two new weapons alongside the pistol: an SMG and a Hand Cannon for dealing with heavily armored enemies.[/p][p]The Corpse Shifter and Henchmen are also getting overhauls—with new behaviors and animations to create more varied, horror-inspired combat and visually dynamic encounters.[/p][p]Wishlist Alter Evo now if you like upgrading guns and exploring mysterious levels👽[/p][p][/p][p]

Upgrade System in the Works — We Want Your Feedback!
What's new?
We’re working on a new combat upgrade system to make exploration, fighting, and progression more rewarding. As you move through levels and defeat enemies, you’ll collect Nanite Canisters, which can be used to upgrade your weapon's:

    Fire Rate
    Damage
    Reload Speed
    Clip Size
This is our current iteration of the Alter Evo Upgrade Bench:

We need your input!
Right now, the system is still in development and not yet in the demo. But we want your input—

Massive Demo Improvements Underway

After an exciting 4-week run, we've decided to temporarily deactivate our demo as we work on some major improvements.

Here's what's coming later this year:

🎮 The Mansion Level:
Step into a mesmerizing dream sequence set in the coolest level of the game—no more starting in the apartment/lake!

👩‍🎤 Brunilda:
Meet Brunilda, a central character who will soon make her debut in our story.

🔫 CRGS (Combat & Resource Gathering System):
Gather ammo, collect resources, and upgrade your gun as you explore cyborg-infested city of North Terrace.

🧩Additional puzzles: we will be adding a few more puzzles and environmental interactions to keep each level interesting.

🆙 Unity 6 Upgrade:
We're moving from Unity 2021 to Unity 6 to boost graphical fidelity and improve character detail.

We were burning the midnight oil to participate in February’s Steam NextFest, but we're glad we opted out. This decision lets us focus on delivering an even better experience for our audience at a NextFest later this year.

Thank you so much for your support as we navigate the bumpy road of game development! 🙏
