Crimson Veil 5.5.1 Now available to all!


The latest update is now live on Steam!

Go download it now and check out the latest content in the vampire route!

For the remainder of October, I plan on shifting focus to creating art, as this month inspires me with ideas that I want to put to paper. This won't art for the game, but just for fun. I will resume regular weekly updates for Crimson Veil starting on Sunday, November 3rd. However, I will still be active and post the work I create in the mean time.

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/29/24

Happy Sunday everyone! Have you had the chance to try out the latest content in version 5.5 yet? If not, you can get a glimpse at the latest content with the updated walkthrough, which I just finished this week. You can view it here:

I’ve adjusted a few smaller things and corrected some bugs in the game that were sent to me. If you do encounter any issues, be sure to send them my way asap as I plan on finalizing the public release by next Friday. That also means if you are interested in being added as an NPC for this update cycle, be sure to become a tier 4 patron by Wednesday, Oct 2.

As for me, I had a bit more free time to work on some non-game art. I doubt I’ll have much free time in October to make these, so I figure I’d get ahead of the curve for the spooky season.

Crimson Veil 5.5 Now Available to all Patrons!



The latest version of Crimson Veil is now available on Windows and Mac to all Patrons! (Mobile version will be released at a later date)

Check the changes below:
•2 new contracts added to Vampire Route. ("The Heir in Hiding" and "Something Familiar About Her")
•Clover was added as a playable partner.
•Summon Luna Skill added.
•Dual Crush skill added for Max Bond Level with all Pets.
•Holy Water, Purify, Holy Purify, and Magna Flash all give Vampirism Immunity for 1-2 turns after use.
•Vampire Route can now be selected from a New Game.
•Story Change warning now appears before entering Dorian's Room for the First time in the Hunter Route.
•Berserker, Righteous Acolyte, Blast Chemist, and Edge Weaver enemy types have been added and replaced certain nameless Vampire Hunters.
•Additional skills and stat buffs added to various Pets.
•The White Knite is now invincible in her fight during chapter 3-V, but you get acknowledged for reaching a certain damage threshold.
•NPC "Jaclyn" name changed to "Velzea". "Satan" name changed to "Sanguineus"
•Minor Bug fixes and additions to the Dev Room.
•8 Images added to Picture Gallery. (154 total)

Additionally, a new perk has been added to the 5$+ Tier. You can now choose to download uncompressed image files for the game! For file size reasons, I've had to compress the images for the latest releases, and it has affected the quality and clarity of many of my illustrations. With this pack, you can now view the game as it was intended!

Also, This upcoming week I will be working on updating the walkthrough and I hope to have that done by next Sunday. Please be sure to do your part by sharing your thoughts, and reporting any issues you encounter!

WEEKLY UPDATE! 9/15/24

After a busy week, I’ve finally wrapped up the latest version of Crimson Veil and sent it off to my testers for review. Please give them a little time to play through and catch any issues I may have missed.

While we wait, I’ve got a small treat to share with my patrons today: a look at some early color schemes for characters already in the game—think of them as beta versions. It’s just a fun little bonus as we gear up for the release of Version 5.5! Be aware that the art assets and sketches download links will be taken down temporarily as the latest versions get uploaded.

I’m also excited to confirm that the update will be available next Sunday at our usual time—8PM EST for all patrons! That means that the public release will be on October 6thI can’t wait for you to dive into the new adventures and content.

WEEKLY UPDATE!! 9/8/24

Good news everyone! I just finished scripting the last scenario for the newest update! Hooray! I need to do a few more passes and clean up a few other things, but for the most part, work on the newest update is done and I will be sending out beta versions of the update to my testers later this week!
One last thing that I was able to implement this week that I wanted to add since the last update was another addition to the Pet system. Once you have reached the max bond with your Pet, you will gain access to the Dual Crush!



The move is rather costly in SP for both Mila and her Pet, but this technique allows them to perform a powerful elemental move that can be activated once per battle. The element is based on the Pet you bring with you. The move itself will also leave a debilitating status condition on the enemies, so there is no reason not to use it in powerful fights.

I’m also currently working on the final illustration for the update. Unfortunately, as I’m writing this, I don’t think I’ll have time to finish all of the versions in time for when this update goes live. This scene has several alts, and I don’t want to rush it. So for now, I’ll post the first part of the transformation sequence, which you can see a preview of here:
