Version 1.2 Update

It's been a little while, but we're back with one more release, Version 1.2! It contains a new Survival Map, three new Quickplay Maps, some difficulty tweaks, and numerous fixes. Read on the full notes!

General
  • Lines drawn with Ctrl-click now matches the player color.


Campaign
  • Campaign Co-op added HP multiplier reduced from 25% to 20%.


Survival
  • Added a new Co-op Survival map, Big Islands, that allows for an unlimited loadout, along with featuring Islands that have Generators and Aura Towers.
  • Increased Survival progression points for clearing 5 waves from 5 to 6.
  • Increased Survival progression points for killing a Boss from 6 to 10.
  • Nerfed Big Islands difficulty quite a bit.
  • Adjusted Two Sides so the first 30 waves are a bit more manageable.
  • Adjusted HP scaling further to make more builds viable across all maps.
  • Adjusted some of the more problematic waves in End Game Survival.
  • You now gain ADDs slower on all maps in waves 60+.


Quickplay
  • Added a new Beginner map, End Lines.
  • Added a new Intermediate map called Outer Rim.
  • Added a new Advanced map called Ultimatum.

Balance


[h2]Axons[/h2]
  • Creator Boss spawns spawns per unit type reduced from 6 to 5, and spacing increased from 1.5 to 2 seconds(adjusted due to the HP multiplier fix)
  • Advanced Repairer heal reduced from 100 to 75.
  • Booster ability speed reduced from 280% to 270%.
  • Disruptor base HP reduced from 160 to 150.
  • Linked Squdron healing cooldown increased from 1s to 1.5s.
  • Marauder base HP reduced from 200 to 190.
  • Medivac base HP reduced from 100 to 90.
  • Replicant score increased from 1 to 2.
  • Replicator and Carrier cooldown increased from 7.5s to 9s.
  • Replicator and Carrier spawn limit reduced from 6 to 4.
  • Reverser score increased from 12 to 20.
  • Vanguard base HP reduced from 250 to 240.


[h2]Defenses [/h2]

Artillery
  • U3 damage reduced from 13 to 12.
Duplicator
  • Duration reduced from 14 to 13. U1 duration reduced from 18 to 17.
  • U3 damage multiplier reduced from 225% to 200%.
Energy Saw
  • Added another damage stage.
EMP Gatling
  • Damage increased from 2 to 3.
  • EMP duration applied per attack increased from 1.2s to 1.5s.
EMP Mine
  • Cooldown reduced from 20s to 16s.
  • Damage increased from 20 to 30.
  • U2 damage increased from 40 to 50.
Gravity Driver
  • U2 Slow reduced from 60% to 50%.
Gravity Generator
  • Base slow increased from 35% to 40%.
  • U1 EMP duration increased from 3s to 5s.
Network
  • Reduced cost from 125 to 110.
  • Base damage reduced from 8 to 7.
  • Reduced base damage cap from 20 to 15.
  • Reduced U2 Slow from 3% to 2% per upgrade.
Plasmathrower
  • Increased cooldown from 2 to 3 seconds.
  • Increased damage of U2 and U3 from 15 to 16.
  • U1 reworked:
    -- Old: Range increased by 1.
    -- New: Cooldown reduced by 1.
    -- Damage increased from 16 to 18.
Target Marker
  • Damage multiplier increased from 25% to 30%.
  • Damage cap for the base trap and U1 reduced from 1500 to 600.
  • U1 Slow reduced from 40% to 30%.
  • Removed the damage cap from U2 and U3.

[h2]Overloads[/h2]
  • Nuke AoE increased from 3 to 3.5.
  • EMP Blast Duration increased from 7s to 8s.

  • Fixed an issue where Chain Overload applied to Blockers.
  • Fixed an issue where Axons could cross removed Architect bridges due to Temporal Mine.
  • Fixed an issue where the Creator Boss' spawned Axons didn't take the current HP multiplier into account.
  • Fixed an issue where the "The Collector" achievement wasn't working at all.
  • Fixed an issue where you could receive an upgrade for a Defense you just removed in wave 30 of Survival.
  • Fixed an issue where Axon warning messages were popping up in replays.
  • Fixed an issue with Omega spawning beacons on invalid platforms on specific maps.
  • Fixed an issue where you could place down more ADDs than you had with fast inputs in Multiplayer, resulting in a negative amount.
  • Fixed an issue where you were given the wrong Overloads after loading a Co-op save.
  • Fixed potential causes of desync with Discharge Blaster and Seeker Drone.

With the release of Version 1.2, new content and feature development ends on Axon TD: Uprising. We are eternally grateful for all the support you've given us!

As for Element Studios, we're now heads down on a new project. It will be some time before we can share any information on it. We're excited to share more when we're ready!

Version 1.1.5 Patch Notes

  • Adjusted the VFX of Artillery U3 to be less busy and more performant.
  • Nerfed wave 12 of mission 39 in the Campaign a little(this is in preparation for a fix coming in 1.2).
  • Fixed an issue where Omega wasn't spawning Beacons correctly on the "Platform" Survival map.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Deployment Aura" pop-up text remained after placing the first Defense with Paint Mode enabled.
  • Fixed an issue where the "Last Ditch Defense" notification was popping up repeatedly during the wave due to a Duplicator transforming near the exit.
  • Fixed an issue where Network Tower's Global Upgrade was lost upon loading a checkpoint.
  • Fixed an issue where Hover Jet's ability stopped working after being lifted.
  • Fixed an issue where Lifter could break other Axons' pathing occasionally.

  • Removed an indication where you got a valid targeting VFX for targeting an invalid target.
  • Fixed an issuw where Command Link upgrades were not rotating.
  • Fixed an issue where a preplaced Command Link U1 would give the full +2 range bonus to more than two Towers.
  • Fixed an issue in the map editor where loading a checkpoint would break the range bonus of active connected Towers.
  • Fixed an issue where the in-game music would keep playing after you stop testing in the map editor.
  • Fixed an issue where the Boss' HP multipliers were not saved in Map Editor save files.

  • Fixed a Generator U1 tooltip error where it was using range instead of AoE.
  • Fixed an issue where you could manually target to bypass Orbital Cannon's limitation of only being able to hit a target that wasn't currently being hit by another Orbital Cannon.
  • Fixed an issue where some area of effect slow effects were not being cleared properly when they ended.
  • Fixed an issue with the "Big Spender" Tech.
  • Fixed an issue where the Nuclear and Link Blaster global upgrades did not apply correctly in Co-op.
  • Added a failsafe for an Argument Out of Range error.
