Patch 1.2.5 small tweaking

Hello everyone,

This patch has some small tweaks as follows:

-The allied Mercenary NPCs have been nerfed by 10%. They were just so strong that they would tank any enemy.

-The Ammo Box on the boat in the Meg fight has been fixed. Before if you had a full inventory you would fall off the boat.

-The Utahraptor attack has been buffed.

-Max gives players a backpack now on his item table in the lab for rescuing the drowning guys.

Fossilfuel 2 on PS5! Also Patch v1.2.4

Hello everyone,

News:

Fossilfuel 2 is coming out on the PS5!

It will be up by 11/30.

This will largely be the same game as the one here on Steam but optimized to run on the PS5.

During the transfer many new bugs have been fixed along with a few tweaks.

Changes:

-A bug where the pistol and rifle silencer would be lost when putting it in the storage crate is fixed. (The icon doesn't change in the storage crate but it saves the state of the weapon)

-Tweaked the horde mode so enemies spawn in a more even pattern.

-The "water trap" on horde mode does more damage to enemies.

-Robo Rex gets some help from his minions on Horde mode.

-There was a bug where you could shoot through the glass and killed the "drowning allies"

-A bug on the R27 sight has been fixed

-A broken glass bug has been fixed

-Velociraptor attack range increased by 30%

Patch v 1.2.3 Unreal Engine updated to 5.4

Hello dino hunters,

With this latest update, the game has moved to version UE 5.4, up from 5.3, bringing new enhancements and optimizations!

Bug Hunt:

v 1.2.2 HORDE CRASH BUG HAS BEEN FIXED!

Hello, Dino Hunters!

As you know, there has been a persistent crash bug plaguing the game’s Horde Mode since its launch.

I wasn’t able to track it down until this week, but I’m happy to say it’s now fixed!

For those curious, the crash was caused by the auto turret bullets. Most bullets in the game are a line trace, but the turrets would spawn an actual object. When a bullet hit the blue item boxes, the Chaos physics engine handling the box destruction would crash the game.

The reason it was so hard to pinpoint was that it relied on blind luck for that specific bullet type to hit a box during gameplay. So I couldn't replicate the crash during gameplay. Technically this crash would happen with any turret, but in horde, there are many turrets and boxes around a small area so it would create a high chance of this happening.

I was able to replicate the crash by firing turret bullets directly at the item boxes, which revealed the cause.

Anyway, I can confidently say the issue is now resolved!

Patch v1.2.1

Hey everyone,

Just some small tweaks.

I am working on the PS5 port of the game (woo) and found a couple of small bugs so I am pushing out some fixes. You won't even notice most of these.

-Bug where Goliath would get stuck on the barricade where the Utahraptor was sleeping.
-The raptors can't damage you now when they are "tripped."
-There was a bug where the raptor would get stuck after being tripped.
-The water flow in the horde mode, when you unleash the flow, it does much more damage now.
-Some typos.
