Neo-Sanctum - Paradiso's Order of Purity
Paradiso is a dreamworld where the lost find themselves trapped together. It is ruled over by The Sanctum, an oppressive religious order.
Discontent brews within the ranks of The Sanctum, and dissenters within view the order as weak, a mere fragment of its full potential. This faction calls themselves Neo-Sanctum, and with the support of some of The Faiths, they will craft Paradiso into a New Eden of pious suffering.
“Paradise, Paradiso… is that eternal flame. Divine suffering as endless reconciliation”
Commander Samael was one of Father’s most trusted Holy Knights. Devout and calculating, Samael is willing to exact violence where necessary to bring about a new vision for Paradiso. In Death of a Wish, Samael leads a coup against Father, killing him before Christian ever has the chance to. As the leader of Neo-Sanctum, he and his followers will proselytize suffering to craft a new society.
“Revolutionaries without a revolution. Pathetic. My judgment is passed”

One of Samael’s highest ranking officers, Justice is anything but his namesake. Rude and crass, he vies for power in the new order, and is willing to get his hands dirty whenever Samael requires it. He particularly delights in the execution of dissidents, and enforces Neo-Sanctum’s moral law through blade and bullet.
“We’re really doing this? Ohohoho, I’ve been dying for some bloodshed”

Another powerful Neo-Sanctum officer, Chief helps build Neo-Sanctum's influence through policy and punishment. Cruel and calculated, he subjects the unclean to lives of destitution, servitude, and exile.
The Reichsheer, a brutal army of well-armed soldiers at Chief and Justice’s command, serves Neo-Sanctum’s goals through their unprecedented capability for violence. Their base of power lies within the walls of a ruined city, where the devoted have gathered to form a new society of purity and pain.

Christian’s quest to challenge the Faiths will lead to clashes with Neo-Sanctum.
Death of a Wish is coming soon. You can wishlist it now on Steam.

Father: Father extols the virtues of pain and self-sacrifice to his followers, believing all are born unclean and deserving of perdition. He is capable of Cleansing people, helping them eradicate unwanted sides of themselves. A cadre of Holy Knights serve as the Sanctum’s Paramilitary Force, and obey his command.
Sister: Long ago, Sister Maria guided all who entered the Dream towards “Purification”, the same self-abandonment and self-suppression that she accepted to become herself. She no longer does that.
Cardinal: The ringleader of the Colosseo, Cardinal revels in the bloodlust and spectacle undergirding much of the Sanctum’s teachings, manifesting in the gladiatorial bloodsports that make up his “services”.
Priest: Priest is a healer capable of erasing the Corruption that eats away at all who were ensnared within the Dream, but at a great cost. Outwardly kind and apologetic, echoes of the harm he inflicted live on in the hearts of those lives he touched.

Father offers Cleansing, a ritual capable of erasing the sides of one's identity that they cannot accept.

However, Christian remained in Paradiso…
