The exciting Treasure Hunter Card Event is coming to an end soon. You will no longer find treasure cards in treasure chests, but don’t worry! You still have a chance to trade your cards with Mr. Miles Baxter. He will be departing soon to seek new items for his collections. Hurry and exchange your cards for goods while he’s still here!



📅 Note: Mr. Miles Baxter will be leaving the next update, but he promises to return with more events and rewards in the future.

PATCH NOTES

GAMEPLAY
- now recruiting free mercenaries is unlimited but has 5 minutes cooldown after hiring
- starting at reputation level 2, Edgar Mills now offers a new barter, upon completion of which you will receive the item "Sack". The Sack can be used to store items from the Junk category
- weapons and ammunition of free mercenaries no longer have any monetary value
- aiming stamina debuff now starts from 25% instead of 50% and peaks at 5% instead of 15%
- now, the missing items will be highlighted in the Shop and Quest windows
- the merchant task items on the Market can be auto-filled
- now, the recruits can be dismissed (except for the last recruit)
- now you will have the ‘unready’ status by default after completing the raid in the group
- the amount of Health restored by Plantain Salves has been increased
- improved animations for consumable items
- the peak map brightness has been reduced
- added an option to show tooltips only when the ‘Alt’ key is held (disabled by default)
- enhanced post-death shot trading for higher RTT/RTT spikes
- the required items for increasing reputation from level 1 to level 2 with Samuel Cole have now slightly changed

AI
- the AI behavior has been improved
- the highest level AI sprint speed has been decreased
- AI previously found with a Volcanic pistol featuring an 8-round magazine and a 7" barrel will now have a 13" barrel in an 8-round magazine pistol

SOUNDS
- the footstep sounds have been adjusted
- the voice-over in the game has been improved
- the voice-over physical properties have been adjusted

ITEMS
- now, the Sage can be found in the Fisher Log Cabin and at the Caravan
- now, the Salt can be found in the Anny's Village and the Fishing Station
- now, the Iron Plates can be found in every locked house in Anny's Village with the small chance
- the deprecated Black Walnut Log has been removed from the Auction
- the non-relevant items from the Explosives category have been removed from the Auction
- displaying amulet levels has been fixed

FIXES

- multiple animal bugs have been fixed
- a few Korean/Japanese/Chinese translation issues have been fixed
- the issue with the ‘widows clothing’ armor class reset to ‘0’ after the successful extraction has been fixed

The Update is here! Significantly reworked AI! Character physics improved! The extraction point lasts longer with a shorter extraction time! The pain starts showing later! Paid mercs now have guns and not only! The loot drops increased! The HUD has more indicators! The max carrying weight is increased! And many many more!

NEW FEATURES
- A new craftable pocket-size container "Parts Tin" for gathering weapon parts in raids has been added
- Various looting items have been added to bags and crates found outside settlements (e.g., a bag near a broken wagon by the roadside). And there's a slight chance of finding valuable items there.
- Paid mercenaries. A wider variety of items has been added to their inventory.
Additionally, paid mercenaries now always come equipped with weapons (similar to those free mercenaries have), and there's a slight chance they may have better weapons with better ammo, better backpacks, sidebags, and some other useful items.
- New quest. Above Renown level 5, Henry Thorne offers a new quest with the "Album" item as a reward after completion. This quest’s reset time is 2 weeks

AI
- The AI behavior has significantly improved. From now the AI is less tanky and their aiming and vision, and overall battle behavior is based on damage they receive as well as fractures, bleeding, pain, etc.
- From now on, AI characters may have better medical items in their inventory (Express Care Kit, Emergency Health Kit, etc.)
- The chance of finding dollars in AI inventory has been increased
- The AI shots-hearing range has been adjusted

EXTRACTION
- For the extraction points that previously had a 60-second extraction time, this duration has been changed to 30 seconds.
- Most ‘paid’ extractions got the option to extract for dollars
- The extraction time is now shown in the extraction information panel
- Now extracting gives 50XP
- The average extraction point lifetime has been increased

PAIN, DEBUFFS & DEATH
- The pain effects will now appear starting from 80% (instead of 60%)
- Players can't die from thirst with a full stomach, but thirst can still be fatal
- For medicines and drinks that enhance ‘“Pain resistance”, this positive effect has been significantly increased, and the level of “Intoxication” effect has been reduced
- The pain resistance effect for the "Pain Insensibility", "Migraine", "Osteoporosis", and "Steel-Nerved" perks has been increased
- the negative effects of Diluted Plantain Salves, Bota Bags with River Water, Salmon, Sardines, Oysters, and Seed Potatoes have been reduced

QOL & GAMEPLAY
- The hunger and the thirst indicators have been added to the HUD
- The stamina visual has been changed
- The animations have been improved
- Character's inertia has been decreased
- Objects can now be dropped while looting from inventory, bodies, and containers.
- A fog has been removed from the Mines location
- Pistols can now be placed in clothing pockets

SOUNDS
- Consumable items sounds have been adjusted
- Footstep sounds have been adjusted

WEIGHT LOAD
- the max carrying weight load increased to 33.0kg (it was 30.0kg before)
- the weight debuff curve changed from 0.2-1.0 to 0.35-1.2 (this debuff begins at 35% of max load and peaks at 120%)

FIXES
- A bug for certain clothes where their armor value would reset to “0” after successful extraction has been fixed
- Tree colliders have been fixed
- An exploit where it was possible to loot items inside houses while standing outside has been fixed
- Several issues with taking fall damage at certain extraction points have been fixed
- An issue with getting stuck in broken wagons has been fixed
