1.0.11 - Controllers Auto Aim and No Energy charge for missing a tile!

[h3]🌟 New Features[/h3]
We’ve heard your requests loud and clear! These two highly anticipated features are finally here, and we’re so excited to share them with you:

No more penalties for unsuccessful tool use!🌱

  • Missing a swing or digging in the wrong spot? No problem! Players won’t lose energy for failed actions.
  • Tools like the Pickaxe, Axe, Scythe, Fishing Rod, and Hoe now only consume energy for successful actions.
    Note: The Watering Can will receive the same fix in the next update—stay tuned!

Added auto-aim for controllers! 🎮

  • Interactions have never been smoother! This new feature ensures your tools will automatically target the correct object, regardless of the direction you’re facing.
  • For example, you can now chop down a tree even if your character is looking slightly away from it. Effortless and precise!
  • You now have a handy indicator showing you what you can interact with based on the tool you have selected in your inventory while using a controller!

    [h3] Make sure to toggle Auto-Aim ON in your settings menu if it's not on by default [/h3]


[h3]🔧 Improvements and Changes[/h3]
Added notifications and sound effects for unlocking the greenhouse.
Improved greenhouse layout for perfect symmetry.
Updated descriptions for the Pickle Jam Machine, Mayo Machine, Keg, and Strawberry Wine.
Main Menu now clearly indicates save file deletions with a bold red "DELETE SAVE FILE:" prompt.

[h3]🐛 Bug Fixes[/h3]
Fixed rain sound being audible in the underworld.
Machines with 0 fuel on load now properly set the output item after refueling.
Resolved an occasional issue where clicking on an item in the backpack wouldn’t work.
Optimized plant behavior and animations for smoother gameplay.
Fixed time freezing indefinitely after a boss fight.
Limited ghost spawns to a maximum of 5 at a time.
Fixed insects spawning at day end instead of day start.
Mima’s Moon Honey quest now correctly asks for Moon Honey instead of Hardwood.
Fixed Lilly’s night light from obscuring paths in the underworld biome (floor spiral teleport).

A quick hotfix for these two items, they could have created issues when you try to split, sell, delete, or use them. Fortunately it's caught early and fixed swiftly!

[h3]Bugs🐞 [/h3]
  • NPC talk option sometimes doesn’t update correctly.
  • Energy-boosting notifications occasionally suggest items that actually reduce energy.
  • Red and blue flowers now require a scythe for harvesting.
  • Machines occasionally fail to function as intended.
  • Marry's backpack letter disappears if opened on the 8th day and the game is closed and reopened.
  • Animal drops were not being saved properly.
  • Animals refuse to leave the barn if the barn is rotated.
  • Minor internal optimizations for improved performance.

The next update is expected in about a week as we focus on delivering joy to all our controller players! 🎮
Assisted Aim✨which eliminates all controller issues is nearly ready for controllers and the Steam Deck, and we can’t wait for you to try it out!

Of course, we’re also working in parallel on additional quality-of-life improvements, balancing tweaks, and even a few surprises in the form of new content! 🌟

[h5] Steam Cloud Save! ☁️ [/h5]

    This was requested by many people and it's our job to listen!
    Steam cloud save is fully integrated and tested, works on Steam Deck too!

[h5]Windowed mode that works well! 🪟[/h5]

    Requested by streamers, people with Ultra Wide monitors and other window mode lovers!

[h5] Zoom in and out! 🔎 [/h5]

    There's only a few levels currently, but it will be useful until we figure out how to do some finer zoom adjustments.

[h5]Text in Cutscenes does not auto scroll anymore! ⏳ [/h5]

    Once the typewriter effect is done, your input is required to continue the cutscene, this way all of the text will be easily readable and you won't miss a thing!

[h5]Fishing minigame toggle! 🎣 [/h5]

    Simply open up your settings and turn off the Fishing minigame! Simple as that!
    You will still have to upgrade your fishing rod to get all of the fish though!

[h5]Dropped items are saved! 💾 [/h5]

    Anything dropped on the surface of Everholm will be saved. ( wild animal loot, rewards, anything really )

  • Night time in Fall is brighter
  • No Npc friendship decay
  • Npc tracking by default with 0 hearts needed
  • Rain doesn't affect the interiors
  • Rain doesn't fall on festivals

  • Disliked gifts have less of an impact
  • Loved gifts bring more points
  • Added Pond and Lake on the map
  • Added Light in the Home interior fireplace
  • Animals are way less needy
  • Each Animal eats only 1 food from the feeder
  • Bee house reworked and balanced
  • Cauldron Festival gives very valuable rewards depending on the amount of stars you get

  • Flowers are harvested only with scythe ( easier honey harvesting )

  • Not getting items when inventory full ( these items will drop on the map and be saved waiting for you now )
  • Ghosts caused a freeze in other UIs
  • Some players couldn't use the Greenhouse key

    Fixing the controller interaction issue : Smart Auto Tool use on the controller ->
    example: you won't have to exactly select the unwatered tile to water it, if your near enough it will look for any unwatered tile, turn to it and water it. This applies to all tools and interactable objects.
