SCP: The Expedition Early Access Release: Summary and Future Directions

We are thrilled to announce that "SCP: The Expedition" has finally seen the light of day. After many months of relentless work, and paying attention to every detail, the moment has come to share the fruits of our labor with you. The game is now on sale, and we eagerly await your feedback and are ready to implement further improvements.

However, we must openly admit that the significant interest surge in the days leading up to the launch did not translate into the sales we anticipated. The results fall far short of our expectations and complicate the planning of future updates. A combination of circumstances and the immense competition on Steam meant our game did not gain sufficient visibility.

Furthermore, we understand that the game's concept did not fully meet the SCP fanbase's expectations. Our goal was to create a unique gameplay experience focused on the conflict with the Chaos Insurgency, which, unfortunately, was not as well received as we had hoped. We understand your disappointment and appreciate all forms of feedback.

The project "SCP: The Expedition" was our most ambitious vision to date. We have never before undertaken such an advanced project. Despite our passion and best efforts, we were unable to realize all of our ideas. Nevertheless, we are incredibly proud of the work we have done and the experience we have gained. For most of the project's duration, merely two people worked tirelessly to face new challenges. Our team was supported by a community manager who relieved us from the duties of moderating Discord and preparing graphics and trailers.

In light of these challenges, our funds are dwindling, forcing us to seek additional sources of income. This will inevitably slow down the game's development, but we want to assure you: we are not giving up. We are committed to completing this project and delivering a full version of the game that meets your expectations.

To achieve this, we need your help. We have created a survey to collect essential information from our players. Your feedback is invaluable to us and will help us develop a strategy to make "SCP: The Expedition" a better product.
