The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication Livestream

Hello, fellow gamers,

We have just teamed up with Gamebase and invited Vtuber Yuriko to play the demo of "The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication" with one of our developers.

Let this carnival of horror begin!

The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication Demo Releases 10/9

The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication, the latest installment in the horror game series, was recently showcased at Taipei's Summer Game Expo in July. Developed by Softstar and based on The Bridge Curse film, the demo featured there gave players a chance to experience two levels of the game first-hand. The line to play seemed to never end, and the game received extensive positive feedback and praise. The development team has stated that the game will participate in Steam's Next Fest this October. The demo will be available for download at 10:00 AM Pacific Time on October 9th. They invite players from around the world to try out The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication to get a freaky peek at the spooky storyline and exciting gameplay.

The sequel's story centers around a real campus ghost story, with the player controlling four characters during Wen Hua University's "Carnival of Horror," experiencing the ensuing terror from a variety of perspectives. To respond to the enthusiasm from players all over the world, the devs have prepared an amazing demo, which is sure to satisfy that yearning for horror. Just head to the Steam store and download the demo to play two full, incredible levels featuring never-before-seen storylines and puzzles, with a game time of approximately 1 hour. The content featured in the demo is the prologue to The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication. Our story begins when a journalist receives an eerie letter and heads up to Wen Hua University alone to unravel the mystery of its contents. Is the military instructor she encounters a friend or foe? What eyes lie behind those thick, black glasses...? The player must painstakingly piece together the history of a haunted building, built with wicked geomancy in mind. Carry a mysterious oil lamp with even stranger powers, and don't get caught... by the headless woman! All this exciting content is crucial to the sequel's story and can be experienced in the Steam demo.

Besides continuing with the creepy, freaky vibes of the first game in the series, the development team has also heeded the calls of players, balancing the intense pressure of pursuit scenes and adding in more diverse types of gameplay. And we'd be remiss to not mention the exceptional upgrade in visual quality. Each character's features are masterfully highlighted, and the monsters and ghouls are absolutely stunning. In addition to technical advancements, the development efforts were very focused on enhancing the player's perspective. Producer Wu Bing-yu notes: "There was definitely a lot of pressure leading up to Next Fest, but this is a great place for games to get some exposure. We're going to compete with a variety of outstanding games and receive feedback from players around the world. It's not only a great test for the game, it's a great test for the team too. "

Steam's Next Fext will run from 10/9 to 10/16 (Pacific Time), lasting for one full week. During this time, players can download and play The Extrication. The development team will also collect feedback for game adjustments and optimizations, making the finished game even more intricate and layered. The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication will officially launch next year.

The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication

Given Softstar's success in adapting the film The Bridge Curse into the 2022 survival horror game The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation, players have been eagerly waiting for its sequel, The Bridge Curse 2: The Extrication. Following the launch of the game's Steam page, the first promo video has been officially released, giving players a peek at Wen Hua University's "Carnival of Horror."

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

The promo starts with the image of an elevator at Wen Hua University. What looks like your average college campus is soon disturbed by the last known images of a missing student, seen from the perspective of the elevator's surveillance footage. Then there's the eerie red liquid spattered on the ground and the constant rumors of ghosts haunting the campus at night... All of this unveiling a series of most mysterious and frightening incidents.

The game is played from a first-person perspective, and the player pieces together the story by switching between four main characters. Besides university students, part of the game is played as a reporter who arrives on campus to investigate a bizarre missing persons case after receiving an eerie letter.

In the depths of night, the ticking of a clock echoes through the empty Da Ren building. A sergeant donning black shades patrols the campus after hours, and yellowing newspapers with frightening headlines can be seen crumpled in the corners. Will the school's dark secrets, after all these years, finally see the light of day?

There's an old photo of the university's ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the school founder and several esteemed guests. But it looks like one of their faces has been purposefully scratched off. Is this just the work of trouble-making students, or is someone trying to hide something…?

Who's that man with the creepy smile? And that woman... it looks like her head is about to fall off. Will prayer beads be enough to keep the evil away, or is this much too sinister? The complicated, interweaving storylines and the intricate visual clues scattered throughout the game show how much time and effort the development team has put into The Extrication. Softstar has also noted that besides adding new types of gameplay, the sequel is guaranteed to be even more challenging than the original, and will tell a deeper, more layered story.
