Regarding Feedback Concerning Steam Connectivity and Game Loading Issues

Dear Esteemed Players, good morning! Wishing you a delightful weekend!

Recently, we have noted feedback from some players indicating that they have encountered issues such as "unable to connect to Steam" or "the game cannot be loaded and run properly" while experiencing *Feed the Cups*.

Following investigation, we have identified that a potential cause may be related to players' Steam accounts having previously purchased game programs from other platforms. Launching these games might have involved the use of modified programs provided by vendors, thereby affecting certain Steam data.

This altered data may lead to similar problems occurring with games developed using the Godot engine. Even updating to the latest version of Steam might not resolve these issues.

Currently, the proposed solution is to uninstall and then reinstall the Steam platform.

It is important to note that if software that modifies Steam program data continues to be used in the future, such problems may still arise.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. As this issue is related to the underlying mechanisms of the game engine, we, as game developers, face technical limitations in directly resolving it. We earnestly request players encountering this problem to try uninstalling and reinstalling Steam so that they can continue to enjoy *Feed the Cups*.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support! Wishing you a pleasant gaming weekend!

Version 0.7.48 Update!
Core Update Content:
New furniture ‌[Closet]‌, ‌[Shoe Cabinet]‌, and ‌[Hat Stand]‌ now allow equipping costumes for the current character.
After being online for 5 minutes and successfully clearing a level (or subway station) to upload a leaderboard score, players can ‌draw a random costume with a 10-hour cooldown.
During the current testing phase, receive a ‌random costume every 5 minutes at home (up to 10 gifts; this feature may be modified or removed in the future).
This feature has been updated and tested in the beta version. If unable to claim, it means the limit has been reached.
Upgraded Godot Engine from 3.5 to 3.6 and Steamworks from 1.59 to 1.62.
Important Notes:
If encountering ‌Steam connection issues in game, try ‌updating the Steam client.
For users unable to update Steam, switch to the ‌[0.7.32 - Godot 3.5]‌ version via:
Properties → Betas → Beta Participation → 0.7.32 - Godot 3.5
Do not switch to this version casually for gameplay.
This version permanently stays at 0.7.32, lacks costume content and future updates, and switching may clear progress due to data incompatibility.
Further updates for Godot 3.5 are discontinued as GodotSteam now supports 3.6 and newer Steamworks.
Recent Updates Summary:
• Fixed animation issues where characters played movement animations while ordering or restocking.
• Updated entry points for Chapters 7 and 8 (not yet open).
• Adjusted character movement parameters for slightly faster speed.
• Refactored behavior trees for players and NPCs to reduce lag (may cause animation glitches).
• Fixed a bug where "Sugar Day" failed to recognize zero-calorie sugar.
• Added Steam connection error prompts and updated low-version client warnings.

‌The main version has been rolled back to the previous stable release.

Many players are currently experiencing Steam connection issues after updating to the new version, possibly due to the upgraded Steam SDK and Godot 3.6 engine. The exact cause is still unclear, so we have decided to roll back to the previous version temporarily.

To participate in the costume test, please join the ‌0.7test‌ beta version.
To join the open beta, switch to the ‌0.7test‌ version!
Right-click the game → ‌Properties...‌ → ‌Betas‌ → Select ‌0.7test‌ from the dropdown menu.
Current known issues in the new version:
• Failed to connect to Steam when launching the game (unknown cause).
• New furniture items (Wardrobe, Shoe Rack, Hat Stand) purchased in the beta version will ‌not‌ be reset when switching versions.
• Character movement speed has decreased. This may be due to differences in the physics engine between Godot 3.5 and 3.6.
• Frame rate drops have been observed. This may also be caused by changes in the Godot 3.6 physics engine.
• Bear cannot slide thrown boxes in the new version due to physics engine adjustments. This has been fixed in the beta by adjusting parameters.
