Ground Zero Supports the Horror Game Awards 2024

With excitement, because the Horror Game Awards 2024 has begun!

The Horror Game Awards were started in 2022 by Phil Dickens and Will Penkeyman. After seeing that horror games weren’t getting recognition in other award shows at a time when the genre was seeing a resurgence in both popularity and quality, they decided to create an awards show entirely dedicated to the spookiest in class.
We’re honoured that Ground Zero was selected to be an official participant in the event!
In Ground Zero, you’ll take on the role of Seo-Yeon, an elite Korean operative who has been tasked with investigating the meteor impact site in her homeland. Back up by her Canadian counterpart Evan, Seo-Yeon must make her way through the post-apocalyptic landscape, gather biological data on the mutated creatures that inhabit it, and piece together the mystery behind this anomalous event.
Our retro horror style was inspired by all of the incredible horror games that we’ve played throughout the years, so it’s wonderful to see games in the horror genre start to get the recognition they deserve and be given their own awards show. We hope that you’ll join us in supporting the awards show this year! Who knows, maybe next year you’ll even have the chance to vote for Ground Zero in the Horror Game Awards 2025?
