Introducing A New Romance Option: Uwabami!

Howdy there Seikyuties! We’ve got something extra special to share with you today. Introducing Uwabami, the newest romaceable villager coming to Tales of Seikyu in a future update. We’ve been reading all your comments here on Steam, over on our social media, and we even put out a survey to find out exactly what you were looking for in our next male romance option. Well, after going through your feedback and spending lots of time considering how to pull the most popular requests together, we’re pleased to share this concept art with you:
“Tell Us About This Mysterious Swordsman!”
Believe us, there is a lot we want to say about Uwabami, but we don’t want to spoil too much just yet. We’re still putting the finishing touches on his story and characterisation, so here are some snippets from his bio (subject to change). With that in mind, if there’s anything you really like, be sure to let us know in the comments!

 • Uwabami’s yokai form is based on the snake yokai of the same name. Uwabami or “Orochi” are enormous serpents with voracious appetites, but there’s a little more to our Uwabami’s yokai form than meets the eye…and remember, snakes strike when backed into a corner.

 • Getting close to Uwabami won’t be as easy as winning the hearts of more amiable villagers. You’ll have to earn his trust to get him to reveal his true nature – something he exclusively reserves for his best friend, Alin (more on this character, soon 👀).

 • Volatile yet driven, Uwabami has a quiet yet chaotic energy and is known for his fluctuating emotions. Getting on his good side won’t be easy, but you’ll be rewarded with ferocious loyalty – a real ride or die companion!
Let Us Know Your Thoughts!
Since he’s still in the early stages of development, it’ll be a little while before you meet Seikyu’s serpent, meaning there’s plenty of time to tell us what you think about him and the personality info we’ve shared. Does this unpredictable bad boy feel like a fun new addition to the sleepy village of Seikyu, or will his arrival cause unprecedented chaos? All will be revealed in time (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

Like what you see here? Don’t forget, Tales of Seikyu is 20% off as part of the Steam Summer Sale. With many more updates on the horizon, there’s no better time to pick up the game and start your adventure! We’d love to hear your thoughts on this character and our other villagers here in the comments, on our official Discord, or on our social media channels: X, Bluesky, Reddit, Instagram, and TikTok!
