Seabert’s Guide to Seikyu - Seikyu Village Continued (Part #2)

Hi everyone! I’m so happy you liked my guide to Seikyu. I worked hard on the pictures, and I think the ones for part two turned out even better! It was a lot of fun getting to take shots of Sasaki, Hephaestus, and Shuten…though I had to stand on a trash can to get the one of Hephaestus. I hope you find this next guide helpful and, umm, let me know if you’d like a part three?
Sasaki’s Furniture Store
I-I’m sure your farmhouse looks nice already, but if you ever wanted to fix it up, well, you should visit the furniture shop. Sasaki is a real nice guy! He was telling me all about how he inherited the store when I took his picture. There’s all sorts of cool stuff in there like tables and chairs. I even heard that you can paint some of them if you prefer a different colour, how cool is that? I wish I could have stayed a little longer b-but I accidentally knocked some decorations off a shelf. T-then I panicked and bumped into another shelf and Uncle Torleone told me to wait outside while he “settled up”, whatever that means.
Hepheastus’ Forge
Can I tell you a secret? I’d never actually been to the forge before I started working on this guide. I thought a forge was something to do with trains! Turns out it’s where you make weapons and stuff, how cool is that? Well, it’s not very cool, it’s actually pretty hot in a forge! T-that was a joke…sorry. A-anyway, Hepheastus showed me around and told me about all the stuff he’s been working on. He even offered to help me upgrade my sword, and he seemed shocked when I told him I didn’t have one. He started telling me a story about something legendary called the Muru…uhh…Muro-something sword. It sounded neat, but the heat was making me a little sleepy and I might have dozed off.
Shuten’s Tavern
Our final stop of the day was Shuten’s Tavern. Uncle Torleone came along to this one too – he said he wasn’t sure she’d let me in otherwise. The tavern is a big building with lots of tables and chairs, and I guess Shuten must have been cooking because it smelled really good! Shuten said it gets a lot busier at night and told me to tell you her prices can’t be beat. Umm, she actually gave me a big list of things to tell you, like how it’s really fun and the sake is delicious, and you’ll make lots of friends and, oh boy, I should have written it down. I had a sniff of Uncle Torleone’s drink and it didn’t smell all that nice to me, but that’s okay. I stopped off at a vending machine on the way home and got my favourite Ninja Bubble flavour. I-it’s lemon. In case you were wondering…

T-that’s it for part two of the guide. I’m gonna speak to Mayor Yui Oda next and find out lots of fox stuff for the next part. You’re gonna be so impressed, I just know it!

Seabert’s Guide to Seikyu - Seikyu Village (Part #1)

H-hi everyone, I’m Seabert. Umm…some of you might recognise me as Seikyu’s customs and registrations officer. I’ll be helping you get set up in Seikyu once you arrive. I also help my Uncle Torleone at his shop, you should stop by sometime. Oh! I’m so silly. That’s actually what I wanted to talk to you about!

I’ve been putting together a guidebook for you with pictures I’ve taken of Seikyu. T-they’re nothing special, but I’m trying to get better at photography. I thought you might find it helpful to get to know Seikyu a little better before you get here. I-if you want to, that is. Ahem, so…without further ado…this is Seabert’s Guide to Seikyu ฅ՞•ﻌ•՞ฅ
Torleone’s Fish Shop
Uncle Torlerone is the most skilled fisherman in Seikyu, he spends all day out at sea and sells his catches at the fish shop in the mornings…and he still finds the time to take me out on fishing trips. He’s the best! You can buy all kinds of delicious fish at his shop and cook it into yummy recipes like baked fish. I-I could even help you eat some of the things you cook. You know? If you ever made too much…
Musashi’s General Store
Mr Musashi is the yokai who runs the general store and he sells all kinds of stuff there. You can get seeds, dyes, wine, and even upgrades for your backpack! I sometimes hear my uncle call Mr Musashi a ‘shyster’ – I think it must mean ‘businessman’, since he only says it after he’s bought something from the general store. Whatever the case, I think I’ll be giving Mr Musashi some space for the time being since he scolded me for following him around with my camera.
Miss Ama’s Tailors
If you need any new clothes, you should stop by Miss Ama’s shop! She’s Seikyu’s number-one seamstress and she can even make custom outfits for you. Uncle Torleone sometimes sends me over to drop dyes off for her, but he tells me not to tell her they’re from him. She used to be an actress, you know? Uncle Torleone has seen all her movies and performances! Unlike Mr Musashi, Miss Ama really likes to have her picture taken. She told me that if she hadn’t gotten into acting, she’d have been a model. It’s fun listening to her stories.

Th-that’s the first part of the guidebook all finished. I hope you find it useful! I’m gonna get even better pictures of Seikyu for part two ʕ•ᴥ•ʔノ♡

Last Chance to Play the Tales of Seikyu Demo!

After finding out that we were one of Steam’s most-played demos during Next Fest, we decided to extend the duration of the Tales of Seikyu demo – giving you the opportunity to explore more of the countryside and to make sure you grabbed our demo exclusive Serpent Rattan armour.

It’s been so wonderful hearing about the fun you’ve been having, but all good things must come to an end, and the demo will be going offline on Tuesday the 25th of March around 9.00am UTC. We wanted to give you plenty of warning so that you can wrap up anything you want to do in game ahead of our Early Access launch, with the reminder that you’ll be able to load your demo save files when we hit Early Access if you choose!
“Will I Be Able to Get the Serpent Rattan Armour If I Didn’t Play the Demo?”
Exclusive items like this are a fun way for the community to pick up a little something extra for supporting Tales of Seikyu throughout our journey. The Serpent Rattan Armour was designed to be a Tales of Seikyu Next Fest demo exclusive item. In order to access the Serpent Rattan Armour when we go into Early Access, you will need to load your demo save data. If you’ve just downloaded the demo and you’ve not managed to find the armour yet, please check the mailbox outside of your farmhouse.
“What’s Next for Tales of Seikyu?”
We’re delighted to announce that the next time Tales of Seikyu will be playable is going to be when we hit Early Access in Spring 2025! We know you’re all itching for us to drop a launch date and, if we’re being honest, we’re absolutely desperate to give you one. HOWEVER, we received a lot of demo feedback from our incredible community and we don’t want to get ahead of ourselves by announcing a date before we’ve given your feedback the time and attention it deserves. We’ll have more information for you soon but, in the meantime, you can rest assured that we’re working hard to bring you the best-possible experience at Early Access.
“What’s the Best Way to Support the Developers Ahead of Early Access?”
We hear this question a lot from our community, and it warms our hearts every single time. Your demo feedback has been so helpful in giving us an idea of what needs a little polish before we hit Early Access, and we’re so grateful to everybody who shared their thoughts and submitted bug reports. As we approach Early Access, the best thing you can do to support us as developers is to wishlist the game. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, but it’s really important that the folks over at Steam know just how excited you are to play Tales of Seikyu, and the most direct way to communicate that with them is to wishlist the game and share it with your friends!

That concludes another update from us and we’re feeling super positive about the future of Tales of Seikyu. Spring is fast approaching and there’s so much to look forward to. From our date announcement to the warmer weather, we hope that the next few months are filled with fun and excitement for you, our wonderful community. Stay well and make sure to look after yourselves! We’re gearing up to share lots of fun and exciting things over on our social media channels in the run up to Early Access, so don’t forget to follow us on Discord, X, Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit.

Take Our Male Romanceable NPC Survey!

We’ve been spending lots of time reading your demo feedback, Seikyuans, and we’re so grateful to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and feelings with us. We’ve seen some discussions about your preferences when it comes to our male romanceable NPCs and we’d actually like to hear a little more from you on this topic!

With that in mind, we’ve created a survey all about the male romanceable NPC options in Tales of Seikyu.
Fill the survey out here!
We want to know what you think of our current roster as well as what your ideal male romanceable NPC would look like. We’d really love to be able to take this feedback on board when developing the game and, though we can’t 100% guarantee any new character additions at this stage, we still think it’s super important for you to have your say! Please note that this survey will close on March 12th 2025, so make sure you've submitted your response by then.

Thank you so much for taking the time to fill out this form. We’re working hard on implementing your demo feedback and getting the game ready for Early Access. We also want to take this opportunity to remind you that the Tales of Seikyu demo is still available to play on Steam (we extended it!) and to encourage you to leave a review on the demo page. All the best from us at ACE Entertainment, and we can’t wait to read your survey submissions!
