With over 140 international teams, 150 clubs from 11 major competitions, including the URC, English Premiership, French Top 14, MLR, Super Rugby, and, for the first time in a rugby game, a substantial number of the best women’s rugby teams, Rugby 25 offers the most comprehensive content ever seen.

With innovative gameplay and realistic player behaviour, Rugby 25 is the most authentic rugby video game to date, where tactical decisions and physical effort are the keys to victory!

Great news!

The release of Rugby 25 is fast approaching, and we would like to take this opportunity to once again thank you for your input and support throughout this journey, it has certainly led to a better game.

Starting 13 February 2025, you’ll be able to take control of your favourite international teams—from southern hemisphere powerhouses like South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia to European giants such as France, Ireland, and England. In addition to national teams, Rugby 25 will feature over 150 clubs from 11 different competitions, including the Top 14, Pro D2, Premiership, URC, and MLR.

While all teams will be playable, with the majority of the top teams having extremely accurate player scans, some teams are still a work in progress. Our plan is to implement the most current player rosters and player scans at the earliest opportunity via downloadable updates. A detailed roadmap outlining these updates will be revealed prior to launch.

Once again, we thank the community for their enthusiasm and support you all have shown us.

Please find below the changes brought by the 7th Early Access Major Update!

Adjusted Place Kicking Mechanic
The place kick mechanic has been modified to make conversion and penalty goal kicks more challenging. After aiming, Right Stick down increases power, followed by Right Stick up for kick accuracy.

Added Tactics Selection
D-Pad now activates the tactics menu during gameplay. Up/Down on the D-Pad adjusts defensive tactics, Left/Right adjusts attacking tactics.

Added Team Management
Manage Lineup added to the pause menu to enable substitutions with a match.

Added Quick Substitutions
A quick substitution menu has been added to the View button.

Added Tutorials
An initial pass of gameplay tutorials have been added, giving detail on the game mechanics, including Place Kicking, Scrums, Rucks, Mauls and Line Outs.

Improved Gameplay
Gameplay has been polished/improved, including tweaking ruck steal timing and AI decision making.

Improved Performance
The game has been further optimised to improve gameplay framerate, particularly on lower end machines.

Improved Stability
This update features both general and Gameplay stability improvement.
