Diablo 4 mythic unique is already transforming builds after escaping ban list

Fresh off the Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred ban list, a new item is already proving itself to be one of the most valuable recent additions to the Blizzard RPG. Introduced alongside the expansion for Diablo 4 Season 6, the Shroud of False Death is a mythic unique, placing it in the elite echelons of the game's most powerful and sought-after items. Indeed, it proved a little too potent during beta testing, and was part of a short list of items temporarily removed from the game ahead of the Vessel of Hatred launch. Now, it's finally back - and it's already feeling like a must-have for just about any build that can spare the space.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred hotfix boosts Seething Opal rewards and reputation

One of the best additions in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred is actually part of its adjacent seasonal update. The Season of Hatred Rising introduces Seething Opals, a new buff-granting resource earned by bringing down colossal Realmwalkers in the open world and delving into the Seething Realms they leave behind upon defeat. Now, following the launch of a major Diablo 4 update that made fighting the titanic creatures more worthwhile, Blizzard has also boosted the value of its Seething Opals.

Popular Diablo 4 Spiritborn build being nerfed as it ruins the game for everyone

One Diablo 4 Spiritborn build has been ruining the game for everyone else, so much so that Blizzard's about to nerf it. The Spiritborn Evade setup might not be Vessel of Hatred's most powerful, but far too many players are using it at once. It's so bad that Helltides and other events are completely ruined by lag, as players overuse the Storm Feathers ability so much that it slows down the servers.

Having replayed Diablo 2, Diablo 4 is now the series' best game

Before playing Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, my favorite Blizzard game ever made was Diablo 2. Dripping with darkness, and oozing malice, Diablo 2 set the tone for the ARPG genre, inspiring generations of games like Path of Exile and, more recently, indie competitors like Last Epoch. There's no denying that the Dark Wanderer's saga of strife changed the course of videogame history, but having played Diablo 2 Resurrected while I waited for Vessel of Hatred to drop, the rose-tinted glasses have come off.
