Diablo 4 Dark Citadel - how to unlock, all bosses, and rewards

How do you access the Diablo 4 Dark Citadel? This endgame PvE activity sees you team up with friends to tackle its difficult bosses and take down hordes of enemies throughout three wings. Resting at the bottom of a huge crater left by the Mage Clan civil war, the Dark Citadel is home to the Khazra, or Goat Demons, who are attempting to summon their overlord. It's your party's job to prevent that from happening.

Diablo 4's Dark Citadel is Diablo 4's first multiplayer-focused content, introducing the game's most challenging encounters. It contains complex mechanics that require some figuring out rather than being able to approach them with brute force. You'll want one of the strongest Diablo 4 builds to take on these difficult activities. Still, we've found success using the Diablo 4 Spiritborn class - the newest one in the game - and its overpowered Centipede guardian.

Diablo 4 Kurast Undercity explained

What is the Kurast Undercity in Diablo 4? There are many ways to acquire both levels and loot in Diablo 4 - getting through the campaign should see you net plenty of both, but once that's over with, the real test of the endgame begins. Having an experience focused on helping you get stronger, while also being fun, is exactly what the Kurast Undercity is there for.

The Diablo 4 DLC brings with it a ton of new content that should appeal to veterans and newcomers alike - the Spiritborn class alone is worth the price of entry. There are plenty of new ways to interact with the world: the Realmwalker world event, the Dark Citadel, and, of course, the Kurast Undercity.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred brings back 2's best zone, then makes it "richer"

From the shimmering sands of Diablo 3's Caldeum to the bloodstained, defiled churches of Diablo 2's Rogue Encampment, Sanctuary is easily one of the most macabre, fully-realized worlds I've ever encountered in my [redacted] years playing videogames. My black, rotting heart has always found a home on Kurast, the jungle that frames Diablo 2's third act, and the earthly home of my favorite Prime Evil, Mephisto. As someone who's always loved the shaman-style aesthetic, Kurast was always equal parts beautiful and twisted, but seeing it reimagined in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred truly took my breath away. Perfectly weaving native iconography with emerald green yet oddly eerie foliage, Diablo 4's Kurast - and Nahantu as a whole - is my favorite Diablo zone ever made.

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred review - Diablo 2, but even better

It's a cold, snowy night in Sanctuary. Crowds have gathered around a stone plinth in Kyovashad, hushed into silence. Reverend Mother Prava stands before them, illuminated by flickering torchlight and, of course, the supposed reverence of the now-fallen Inarius. It feels almost like nothing has changed: Inarius and Lilith are dead, hatred's heart has been pierced, and, like a mindless flock, Sanctuary's denizens are thanking the High Heavens. From the onset, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred instills a sense of hopelessness; a reminder that our Wanderer's journey will always end in bloodshed.

New Diablo 4 patch notes add tempering changes ahead of Vessel of Hatred

Blizzard has made some last-minute adjustments to its latest Diablo 4 patch notes ahead of the Vessel of Hatred launch. The new Diablo 4 DLC is set to arrive in just a few days, and many players are likely already deep in the process of considering which class and build they want to play first when the expansion lands. If you're pondering, be sure to take note of these adjustments, as they target tempering bonuses that were causing abilities to hit twice, which may affect the potential potency of associated skills.
