Development Update #1: New Graphics

[h3]Today we want to show the new visual style of The Way of Death compared to the old one.[/h3]

When the development of The Way of Death started, I prepared the simple graphic layout, because I focused on the other things first.

Now is the time to change it and make the graphic how we wanted it.

We had two directions to choose from. One was a simple graphic in tint of a wooden Japanese dojo. It could make the development simpler and easier and the graphics could be more readable for players.

But we wanted something more.

With the simpler graphic, we could not give the impression of nature and differences of other biomes planned in the game. So we chose the second option - the more advanced realistic style of graphics and here are the results compared to the old version of The Way of Death graphics:



For now, we present an environment from the beginning of the game. We will show more screens throughout the development.

Thanks to this visual style, we can create the world of the game more detailed. It also requires more comprehensive animations, which will help immerse in the world of TWoD.
