Clearing Up Rumors and Misunderstandings

It seems the last time I addressed this in a blog post I must not have worded it properly. There is now a rumor that I'm abandoning the game. Let me start of by saying this is not true. So here it is in bold NO, I AM NOT ABANDONING THIS GAME. Now I will explain what's going on for anyone out of the loop. I started working on Wild Omission when I was 16 years old. I worked on it here and there, until it became an obsession. I would go to sleep at night and wake up early just to get back to development. I never thought about anything else. My whole world essentially revolved around this game. I was working 10+ hours a day at age 17, constantly thinking of new ideas, and better ways to implement existing ones. My life was like this for over a year. Until it starting taking it's toll on me socially, mentally, and physically. I had just been working too hard at it for too long. I hadn't been spending as much time with friends as I would like to, I started picking up bad habits to cope with stress, I constantly felt in a rush, and became increasingly out of shape. Not only this, but I realized I had completely stopped doing things I previously loved, such as my music. With all this in mind I decided the best thing for me right now is to take a break to recover, and work smarter, not harder on Wild Omission. And to start making music again. Music provides a release for me because I can channel my emotions into writing a song and it no longer bothers me. It also allows me to be more active.

Q&A

Q: What makes you say not abandoned?
A: Short of me dying, I would personally like to continue working on it.

Q: So ultimately what does all this mean?
A: It means, I'm taking a break, and then I'm going to be working part time on the game.

Q: So how does part time affect updates?
A: It shouldn't in anyway meaningful, I tend to be more productive in short bursts.
