Road to 1.0 & Future Plans
Hello to all the fans of building, modeling, and creating!
The Outside the Blocks demo has been available for a while now!
Thank you to everyone who played – and especially to those who shared their feedback!

Looking at your comments and activity on Steam, it seems like the demo has been well received – which, I must admit, makes me really happy!
The interest in Outside the Blocks is greater than I expected, but unfortunately, it's still not big enough for me to turn this project into anything more than a hobby project developed in my spare time. Because of that, I plan to continue working on the game in the same way as before.
The good news is – this won’t significantly affect the content of the final game.
The bad news? The release will be delayed. By how much? No one knows.
Here are some of the features planned for version 1.0. Keep in mind that this list may still change.
New Features:
New Customization Options:

New Autobuild Modules:

New Material Presets

New Objects & Decorations:
As you can see from the list above, I’m currently focusing solely on the Medieval decoration kit. In the future, I may expand OtB with additional thematic kits, but that depends on many factors, and it’s too early to discuss it now.
Still Under Consideration:

Maybe in the Future:

Definitely Not Planned:
I want the development process to be as transparent as possible, so in the coming months, I will regularly share WIP updates on Discord. If you want to see how the game grows and evolves – join our server!
I hope you have a great time in the demo, and I’ll catch you in the next Steam post!

Regarding other frequently asked topics:
Still Under Consideration:
- Gamepad support
- Steam Workshop integration
Maybe in the Future:
- Additional language versions
- Ability to share dioramas with other users
- Console versions
Definitely Not Planned:
- Export to graphic formats (FBX, OBJ, STL) & Integration with any 3D software or game engine
I know that many people have already asked for an export feature, but I can't provide it. It's not due to technical limitations, but for legal reasons. So, there’s no room for discussion. :( - Object scaling and rotation along a different axis than the vertical one
It's against my philosophy of creating and placing assets. - iOS, Linux
Making a separate build is time-consuming and requires a lot of work. I just can't afford it. - VR, AR
Preparing such a version is an incredible amount of work that would never have a chance to pay off. - Interiors
That would complicate navigation through the scene too much.
