Astrometica - Update Delay & What’s New

[h3]Hey everyone,[/h3]

We wanted to give you an important update on the status of the upcoming content update. As you have noticed, we weren’t able to release the update today, and we want to be transparent about why — and what’s coming.

[h3]🚧 Why the Delay?[/h3]
The truth is: this update became much bigger than we originally planned. We made some major balancing changes and introduced new systems, which led us to build an entirely new asteroid belt — with many new points of interest and brand-new stories.

We don’t want to release an unpolished experience. Our top priority is delivering a smooth and meaningful update. That’s why we’ve made the decision to delay — just a little longer. We’ll be doing a “shadow drop” soon once we’re confident everything works as it should.

[h3]🪐 A Massive Leap in Content[/h3]
So how big is this update?

  • [h3]Nearly 3x more content than the current Early Access version.[/h3]
  • [h3]Theta-9 asteroid belt now has 2x more locations than before.[/h3]
  • [h3]Introducing Theta-12, a brand-new asteroid belt — bigger than Theta-9.[/h3]
  • [h3]More than 80 new resources, tool modifications and Items.[/h3]
  • [h3]Over 25 new original soundtracks, most of which are for Theta-12.[/h3]
  • [h3]Huge visual overhaul and new lighting systems.[/h3]
  • [h3]Tons of new secrets, challenges, and mechanics.[/h3]

We had to rebalance large parts of the game from scratch, which naturally takes time. On top of that, our 3D artist faced health issues over the past couple of weeks, which impacted the creation of essential assets and props.

Astrometica - April Dev log

We’ve been super busy the last few months, working full-time on Astrometica to shape its future. There’s a lot we’re excited to share, so get comfortable — this is going to be a long one!

First things first...
We want to thank everyone again for your amazing support and patience. This is our very first game, and as a solo developer (with some helping hands), it means the world to have such a great community behind it.

We know things have been a bit quiet lately, but it’s only because we’ve been heads down improving the game, rebuilding systems from scratch (like the inventory system), and setting up pipelines to make future content updates faster and more polished.

We’re aiming to release the next big update by the end of this month, but please note that timing may shift a little depending on asset creation and testing.

Now when fabricating or building something, the required resources will automatically be used from nearby storage units — no need to move them manually!

A massive new belt is on the way, filled with brand-new locations, secrets, and lore. You’ll want to explore every corner.


Let’s just say… in this belt, if you stare into the fog long enough, something might stare back 👀
There’s a something hidden out there — and it’s 10x bigger than the biggest Lev****** you’ve ever seen. Good luck spotting it… or survi**** it!!

We’ve rebuilt the research system from scratch. Expect better balance, more meaningful upgrades (like stack size increases), and new unlocks — including hidden locations you haven’t discovered yet.

Important: Due to all the balance changes, we highly recommend starting a new save after this update!

You can now collect Mox Credits in the world and spend them at Trading Stations! Purchase blueprints, resources, decorations, and even new asteroid coordinates.

You can now actually sit in your chairs and sleep in your beds. Your base is finally starting to feel like home.

We’ve expanded cave environments for deeper exploration and mystery.

This new tool lets you grab objects in zero-G — from environmental items to dangerous floating mines. It’ll also help with puzzle solving.

You can now change interior walls of your habitat rooms, add small decorations, place shelves, and personalize your space even more.

We’re excited to share some of the upcoming features and changes that will be arriving in Astrometica over the next months! Plus, we’ve got some important balancing updates to talk about.

    We’re hard at work adding cool new locations and immersive biomes for future updates. Over the past month, we’ve focused on building a robust pipeline to ensure we can roll out these environments faster.



  • [h3] Large Asteroid Outposts[/h3]
    Get ready for massive asteroid outposts featuring caves, abandoned facilities, unique stories, and rare resources. These areas are designed for deep exploration and discovery.



  • [h3] Industrial Structures and Stations[/h3]
    New industrial ruins will join the universe of Astrometica! These old mining and cargo stations will add a layer of mystery and exploration to the game.



  • [h3] Unique Islands[/h3]
    We’re adding more islands, each with distinct styles and elements. Some islands will be handcrafted for storytelling, while others will feature procedural elements tied to your progression.

    Drones are coming! They’ll be available in multiple types:

    • Storage drones for carrying items.
    • Fabrication drones to assist in crafting.
    • Defense drones to protect you from enemies.

    All drones can be upgraded and equipped, and some NPC drones will even tie into the game’s story!

    A new Grab Tool will let you interact with physical objects in the environment and solve puzzles.

    • Wall Types and Decorations:
      You’ll be able to change wall types inside your habitat rooms and place small decorative objects directly from your inventory.

      A new Furniture Fabricator will let you craft small decorations to personalize your base.

    A Trading System will be introduced, allowing you to buy and sell items at trading stations. These items will include decorations, asteroid belt coordinates, and more.

    We’re making some key changes to improve gameplay balance and progression.

    • [h3]Blueprint Boxes:[/h3]
      Blueprint Boxes will be divided into three types:

      • Decorative Blueprint Box: Unlocks new decorations and simple buildables.
      • Modifiers Blueprint Box: Unlocks new modifiers for tools and companions.
      • Rare Blueprint Box: Unlocks new modules for vehicles and important progression items.



    • [h3]Current Locations and Balancing:[/h3]
      We’re relocating and rebalancing some key locations, like the red cave, and updating the Skipper to make it dockable and upgradable. Don’t skip the Skipper—it’s there to give you a great time! 😉
  • [h3] Update Timeline[/h3]
    We plan to release three major updates until June 2025, including new locations, stories, and buildables. We’re working hard to ensure these updates deliver meaningful content to Astrometica.

Hey everyone,
We're back with a fresh update featuring bug fixes, improvements, and a few new additions to enhance your experience. Here's what's new:

[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]

  • Summon vehicle vanishing bug fixed when using the unstuck button or when the player dies while in the vehicle.
  • Lighting bug in the vertical station fixed.
  • Stair corridor collision improvements made.
  • Christmas lights can now be deconstructed from all angles (specific side/angle bug fixed).
  • Fixed a bug where pinned blueprints appeared on the screen after crafting tool modifications.
  • Issue with players unable to take tool modification cards from the machine fixed.
  • Battery swapping bug during tool usage fixed.
  • Pinned blueprints in tool modification now correctly unpin.
  • Fixed an issue where X and stair corridors didn’t return resources after loading the game.
  • Recycled tools now no longer provide empty batteries when the tool itself didn’t have a battery.
  • Fixed a bug that caused build signs to duplicate.
  • Fixed an issue where crafting a modification in a full inventory caused issues with retrieval.
  • Fixed a bug causing oxygen loss during photo mode while in the summon vehicle.
  • FOV settings now persist after loading the game.
  • Fixed an issue where adding power cells to the hook tool was causing problems.
  • Beacons can now be correctly placed in the research outpost island.
  • Lighting in the red cave improved and bugs fixed.
  • Various misspellings corrected.
  • Fixed jetpack refueling bug when using gravity.
  • Resolved a bug where players would fall under the map.
  • Creative Mode Improvements: Tools and ship charges no longer decrease in creative mode.
  • Fixed crafting bug for tool modifications, now properly deducts resources for multiple crafts.
  • Fixed notification errors for unstackable items showing incorrect amounts.
  • Resolved 0% health bug.
  • Habitat colors no longer reset after warping to another belt.
  • Fixed resources falling through the floor in the Old Hub Station.
  • Power cell charge bug resolved (no longer charges only one cell).
  • Fixed environment unloading in the Red Cave.
  • Storage boxes can no longer be renamed.
  • Added the ability to copy locations directly from the pause menu.
  • Blue right rod is now recyclable, yielding light bulbs.
  • Infinite oxygen in Zero-G vertical corridors bug fixed.
  • Fixed hook tool clipping through corner walls of habitat rooms.
  • Collision improvements for smoother gameplay.
  • Feedback menu now supports multi-line text.
  • Copper asteroid scanning bug fixed.
  • Fixed crashing issues for Steam Deck and ROG Ally handhelds.

  • Maximum UObject count increased to enhance game stability.
  • Jetpack power consumption increased in gravity zones for balance.
  • Players can now build multiple windows at once.
  • Material textures improved for the emergency pod.
  • In-game console commands updated for smoother functionality.
  • Default image for photo displayer has been updated.
  • Copying buildables is now significantly faster.
  • Stair corridor building mechanics improved.
  • Windows can now be placed on corners of habitat rooms and large habitat rooms.
  • Introduced a new glass stair corridor, currently available only in Creative Mode.

We are currently investigating an issue related to a FATAL ERROR application crash. While we don’t yet have a solution, we’re actively working on it and would greatly appreciate your help.
