Update 0.7.0.0 - Power Up!
Powering up Strayers from all sides!
This year's 4th monthly update is all about POWER - for both tools and electricity! Not to mention - a POWERFUL new weapon. Don your safety helmets and play your most rock-tastic tunes while you work on the islands, Strayers!

Strayed Update 0.7.0.0 features one of the most awaited additions - the Chainsaw and the Jackhammer. We're also adding many new electrical components like the Electric Button, Electric Pressure Plate and Electric Door Controller - which ultimately bring more control over any Strayers' structural defenses. And last but definitely not the least - the power over great distances jam-packed into a single, Bolt Action Rifle.

Are you ready to meet your new friends - bolty, chainy and jackie? Let's get acquainted, shall we?
Bolt Action Rifle - Sniper!
In our last update, we brought some local firepower in the form of the Pump Shotgun. So, it was just imperative for us to add its furthest equivalent - the one and only bolty!

The Bolt Action Rifle is as simple as it gets - a 4-round, bolt-operated hunting rifle. Made from the jankiest combination of materials (Is that a turn-signal lever? Yes it is.) and the mind of a mad, desperate Strayer, it basically decimates those unlucky enough to be found on its iron sights.

The Bolt Action Rifle can be found on high-tier crates. Oh, and take note - you need to open and close the bolt every time you shoot. It may take some practice to make it part of your muscle memory, but once you've managed yourself - nothing will scare your enemies more than a skilled marksman from afar.
Chainsaw - Let the logs roll!
*queue in TV infomercial voice* - Are you tired of smacking trees with your ol' trusty hatchet? Finding yourself sweating more on one armpit just for that sweet, sweet wood? Look no further - your dream power tool is here - the Chainsaw!

Shenanigans aside - this monster of a power tool provides 10% bonus yield when farming. What does that 10% bonus result in? Lots and lots of wood.

The chainy can be found in high-tier crates, and rarely in medium-tier ones. To make it worth the work horse, it must first be loaded with Basic Fuel (carries up to 50). Then, just like you would IRL, you have to pull the pull start until its engine roars to life!

Pro-tip: The chainsaw's engine begs to be heard from quite a distance. While it can be used as a weapon of sorts, it isn't as ideal to have in an active gunfight. Make sure you're secured while you farm!
Jackhammer - Piston-powered smasher!
We know you've been waiting for it. Strayer, meet Jackie - your piston-powered friend.

Now this one is the king of efficiency - it's like having five pickaxes in one hand. While it needs two hands to operate properly, it provides a 10% bonus yield when farming. And the same as with the others - it can be found only in high-tier crates.

Now, it isn't as audible as its cousin the Chainsaw, but it is when you start smashing on surfaces like your usual nodes for resources. Take the similar safe approach when utilizing the jackie - it will save your life.
New Electrical Components!
This update not only brings power to the Strayers' hands, it also boosts ELECTRICAL power!

We got three new electrical components - with each and every one ready to be tinkered with by the minds of bald genuises on the island!

Electric Button - Simple enough - these can be placed on walls and have input and output sockets. When pressed, it will start a 3-second timer where it will pass electricity through to the output socket. These can be found in medium-tier crates or bought from a depot shop.

Electric Pressure Plate - works similar to electrical buttons, but on floors! Also has input and output sockets. When a player stands on it, it will allow electricity to flow to the output socket. Can be found in medium-tier crates or bought from a depot shop.

Electric Door Controller - Must be installed on doorframes to function properly. Equipped with both input and output power sockets. When electricity flows into the input socket, the controller automatically opens any door mounted in the frame. Once the power is cut, the door closes again. The output socket simply passes the current through to other devices. You can find this device in medium-tier crates or purchase it from a depot shop.
Where are the other features?
As you may have seen during the last few updates and what we've put on the roadmap, we've been upping our tempo when it comes to releasing more impactful features. We assure you - we are as excited as you are.

However, you may have noticed some missing features in this update - including Weather and its effects, some electrical components, and road/road stuff polishing.

While the hype to finally show you our most exciting new features lives on, we simply cannot allow these to be released in an unfinished/unpolished state. We love our community and respect their wishes, so we make sure that our feature releases are on par with what they expect them to be, even if there's a need to push them further to make it worth releasing.

Please know that we acknowledge that even some features released in the past manifested problems later on; however, these were all released with us knowing that they could work well, or if not, we could have them hot-fixed almost immediately.

For the ones that haven't been included in this update or that haven't been released from previous updates, contrary to what the roadmap shows, we assure you that we're working on getting them out there with the fewest issues as much as possible.

Thank you for playing Strayed, and for staying with us for the longest time!
