One Year Since the Rise of Rise of Jericho
Good morning dear community
Today is a very important day for us as it marks exactly one year since the launch of our beloved strategy game Rise of Jericho.
We're now a year older and a year wiser since we launched our first game here on Steam (which by the way you can now find it at a reduced price)
The beginning
Rise of Jericho is not a game that came out of nowhere. Its concept was conceived under the Free Palestine Game Jam, an event dedicated especially to the creation of video games in support of Palestine, a people that has been invaded, abused and exploited for many years and today, more than ever, suffers from the consequences of western imperialism.
We never imagined that the conflict could escalate as it did this year, but here we are and there seems to be no room for peaceful solutions. And even though Jericho is far from the conflict area, its people still suffer.

Herod's Winter Palace in Jericho
Jericho is located in a place that makes it highly coveted by those who crave power. Since the beginning of time, when Jericho was one of the first cities of civilization, of which we all enjoy its fruits today, it has suffered countless invasions and attacks. Even in the Bible, the invasion led by Joshua is glorified.
And this is how the murder of thousands is justified and canonized.
It seems that little has changed in terms of our values, but for the first time in history, we are facing a genocide that is being broadcast live, which gives us the possibility of sharing it and continuing to raise awareness and defend those who have been oppressed.
We hope from the bottom of our hearts that there is a ceasefire as soon as possible to avoid further civilian casualties on both sides of the conflict. As well as, that our message does not cause hatred in anyone who reads it, regardless of where they're reading this from, but rather understanding and empathy.
Let's talk
