  • [p]A bug that caused ESA radars to lose tracked targets if they moved outside of the current scan area has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]AJ37, AJS37 — a bug where part of the aircraft obstructed the view from the targeting pod when using the RB75 and RB75T missiles has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]F-15C Golden Eagle — a bug where an extra hardpoint was displayed on the conformal fuel tanks when using certain missiles has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]☢Tornado IDS ASSTA1 — a bug that caused the plane to spawn in the air has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]JH-7, JH-7A — a bug that caused the drop tanks to float in the air when tips of the wings were ripped off has been fixed.[/p]
  • [p]Su-30MK2 AMV — a bug that caused the names on R-27ET1 and R-27ER1 missiles to display as text keys on the MFD in the cockpit has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]Alpha Jet (all variants) — the erroneously present ability to extinguish engine fires has been removed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]Mi-8TV, Mi-8TB (Germany) — a bug that made it possible to use the fire extinguisher without having the EFS modification has been fixed. (Report).[/p]

  • [p]Naval missions on the South Kvarken location have been disabled for a rework.[/p]

  • [p]The purchase windows for Silver Lions and Golden Eagles now display correctly on ultrawide monitors (Report, Report).[/p]
  • [p]A bug where XeSS could be displayed in the list of anti-aliasing options for video cards that did not support it has been fixed.[/p]

Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.[/p]

Welcome to the 198th War Thunder Steam Screenshot Competition!


We enjoyed seeing all of your great group screenshots last week! This week we released the fourth major update of the year, Spearhead. As we have before with past major updates - take a screenshot with your favorite new vehicles, or in the reworked locations! The three most popular and three selected by us will get 300 GE. See the winners down below!

[h2]Let’s begin the 198th edition of our competition![/h2]

Create a stunning screenshot and submit it on the War Thunder Steam Community Hub with the tag #WTscreen198. You have time until the 21st of November to submit your screenshot.

After that date, 6 winners will be selected (3 of which will be the highest rated by the community and 3 selected by our judges), each of which receive a reward of 300GE.



[h3]Terms:[/h3]
    Your screenshot must include content from the latest major update, Spearhead. This can include new vehicles, or from the reworked locations.
    You must add the #WTscreen198 tag (title cannot have any other text in it).
    Artists may only win by popular vote once per four screenshot competitions.
  • Screenshots need to be compliant with the War Thunder rules.
  • You need to be the author of the screenshot.
  • Screenshot needs to be new. You cannot use those which have previously been published or used in other competitions.
  • We will only accept raw screenshots from the game. You cannot use any editing software nor any other visual enhancements (like Nvidia Ansel filters).
  • You can use filters and settings built into War Thunder.
  • You can use the replay functionality built into War Thunder.
  • Rewards will be delivered to the author's account within 14 working days.

The new War Thunder Spearhead update adds dozens more vehicles and solves a longstanding naval warfare exploit

A new War Thunder update has expanded the vehicle lineup of the free-to-play war game, alongside a much-needed naval rework that stops players from exploiting the repair system. While recent newcomers such as Battlefield 6 and Arc Raiders have brought fresh competition, Gaijin Entertainment's combat sim is still holding strong among the platform's most-played games, and this latest overhaul is another good reason to return and see what's changed.

40 New User-Created Camouflages in the Spearhead Trophy!

[p][/p][p][/p][p]This week we released the Spearhead major update, meaning it’s time for a new camouflage trophy featuring camouflages from WT Live! Of the 40 new camouflage we’ve included, 12 are for new vehicles from the update or from recent events, and following our usual tradition, five are popular camouflages from older trophies. Overall, this trophy features more camouflages for mid and high ranking vehicles, with ground vehicles being the most prevalent, and France and China being more widely represented than usual among nations. [/p][h2]How to get the trophy[/h2][p]Camouflage trophies can be earned with a specific probability after any battle with vehicles rank II or higher, with activity of no less than 50% (except for \[Assault] PvE mode). PlayStation and Xbox players can purchase the trophy in the Item Shop and open it with Golden Eagles. Read more on our Wiki.[/p][p]PC players must purchase a key from the Market to open the trophy, with part of the cost going to the camouflage creators. You can activate a key from the trophy on your account or sell it on the Market for Gaijin Coins —  just like the trophy itself.

  • [p]XF5U-1 — the flight model has been updated, L/D ratio at high AoA has been increased. Engine performance has been adjusted. (Report). Gross weight has been reduced relative to early specification (the prototypes had less fuel and no ADI).[/p]
  • [p]F-15C Golden Eagle — the sizes of the radar search zones in TWS mode have been adjusted: 15°x15° → 30°x15°, 30°x10° → 70°x15°, 60°x5° → 70°x30°.[/p]
