Swedish company Bofors, with a history dating back to 1646, is one of the oldest arms manufacturers in the world. In 1937, it founded its Saab division to build aircraft for the Swedish Air Force, which became a separate branch of the armed forces on July 1st, 1926. Saab has produced thousands of aircraft, including some of Sweden’s most famous ones.

About these jet aircraft
  • The J29D Tunnan is an experimental modification of the first Swedish jet fighter. It features excellent speed, four powerful cannons and a wide range of rockets for attacking ground targets. Choose for yourself what role to play in battle!

  • The J35A Draken is a plane for real aces. It has no countermeasures, so you’re going to have to dodge enemy missiles the old fashioned way. The J35A has excellent speed and maneuverability, and is a master of turning combat. In addition to two cannons, it can carry up to four guided air-to-air missiles.

A Decal and Discounts on Japanese Vehicles for Japan Self-Defense Forces Day!



On July 1st, 1954, the modern Japan Self-Defense Forces were founded. Today, they are ready to defend the homeland from any threats, participate in international missions and help civilians in emergency situations, which happen often in Japan. More than 250,000 people serve in the Japan Self-Defense Forces, and the country continues to develop modern military equipment.

[h3]The IJN Kiyoshimo, J2M4 Kai and Type 74 (G) are temporarily available for Golden Eagles with a 30% discount![/h3]
The following are available at a 30% discount: IJN Kiyoshimo (rank III) can be picked up for 3416 Golden Eagles, J2M4 Kai (rank IV) for 2695 and Type 74 (G) (rank VI) for 6111.

About each of these vehicles
  • IJN Kiyoshimo is well suited to protect allies from air attacks and destroy more fragile targets. Her air armament is represented by a huge number of autocannons, although her main caliber guns only have access to high-explosive shells. IJN Kiyoshimo also features sixteen 610 mm torpedoes.

  • The J2M4 Kai features a 1854 HP engine, allowing it to outperform its predecessors in speed and rate of climb and perform well at high altitudes. Its four 20 mm cannons are excellent against enemy aircraft.

  • The Type 74 (G) is the most advanced modification of the Type 74 MBT of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces. Its main weapon is the 105 L7A3 gun with a two-plane stabilzer. It’s also equipped with a thermal imager for the gunner, a laser rangefinder and a laser warning system!

  • [p]F/A-18C MLU 2 (Sweden) — AIM-120C-5s attached to the BOL countermeasure pylons now have a countermeasure icon.[/p]
  • [p]F-15I Ra’am — the icon used for the GBU-64 JDAM-ER bomb has been corrected to reflect the fact that the bomb has wings.[/p]
  • [p]Do 217 K-1 — a bug that caused the name of the SC1000 bombs to appear as a file path has been fixed. (Report).[/p]

  • [p]Namer Tsrikhon — the position of the launcher has been corrected. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]Firefly (Overlord) — the thicknesses and armor types of the tracks and wheels attached to the main armor have been corrected to match the thicknesses and armor types of these elements installed on the vehicle's chassis. (Report). Mass has been reduced to 35.3 tons.[/p]
  • [p]CLAWS — a bug that caused the amount of AIM-9X missiles displayed in the action panel of the TADS vehicle to be 0 after replenishing the missiles has been fixed. (Report).[/p]
  • [p]A bug that caused Multi-Vehicle SAM launcher vehicles to sometimes appear next to any vehicle in the hangar has been fixed.[/p]
  • [p]The parameters of the hydraulic pump catching fire have been corrected (for example, on M1 Abrams tanks). The fire effect, which could previously be unnoticed, is now bigger and lasts longer. The damage dealt by this fire has been increased. The chance of the pump catching fire from the fire of in nearby modules has been significantly reduced.[/p][p][/p]

After that date, 6 winners will be selected (3 of which will be the highest rated by the community and 3 selected by our judges), each of which receive a reward of 300GE.

    Your screenshot must include a vehicle or location introduced in the latest major update, “Leviathans”.
    You must add the #WTscreen178 tag (title cannot have any other text in it).
    Artists may only win by popular vote once per four screenshot competitions.
  • Screenshots need to be compliant with the War Thunder rules.
  • You need to be the author of the screenshot.
  • Screenshot needs to be new. You cannot use those which have previously been published or used in other competitions.
  • We will only accept raw screenshots from the game. You cannot use any editing software nor any other visual enhancements (like Nvidia Ansel filters).
  • You can use filters and settings built into War Thunder.
  • You can use the replay functionality built into War Thunder.
