SEPECAT Jaguar: Raining Fire

The SEPECAT Jaguar was the result of a joint Anglo-French development project to design a new supersonic attack aircraft during the 1960’s. Coming in hot with the War Thunder: Raining Fire update, the highly anticipated Jaguar will soon be joining the top ranks of the British and French aviation trees!

In War Thunder, the highly anticipated SEPECAT Jaguar is finally arriving to the top ranks of the French and British aviation trees with the release of the upcoming update Raining Fire. Thanks to its good handling characteristics, adequate speed and vast array of secondary weapons options, the Jaguar is set to become the crowning jewel of the French and British attacker family of aircraft upon its arrival to the game as part of the next War Thunder major update!

The Jaguar is powered by a pair of Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour turbofan engines, generating up to 3,348 kgf of force with the afterburners engaged. As a result, the aircraft can reach a top speed of up to Mach 1.4 (1,670 km/h). Although not exactly matching the flight performance of some other machines found at the top rank, it’s worth noting that the Jaguar is an attacker first and foremost with the ability to hold its own in a dogfight if necessary.

The SEPECAT Jaguar is coming in hot with the release of the War Thunder: Raining Fire update and will soon reinforce the top ranks of the British and French aviation trees with an excellent jet attacker that is sure to find many fans among War Thunder pilots! Research, purchase, crew training costs and other related parameters for vehicles have been changed. View the tablesheet with the main parameters in a new tab. All economy indicators for vehicles will be changed according to rank.
Repair costs and award multipliers have been changed (view a new tab).
Ammunition costs have been changed (view a new tab).
The cost of torpedoes used by ships has been reduced by 50%. The cost for weaponry presets have been recalculated and may not have been exactly halved due to rounding.
A bug causing overpriced torpedoes for the Type T-1 has been fixed.

Chi-Ha Long Gun: The Last Chance Gun

120mm naval guns on the chassis of Japanese Chi-Ha tanks were supposed to hit the landing American troops with direct fire. The mobile coastal artillery was to be the last-chance weapon to save Japan from the Allied invasion.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun will appear in our game with the release of the War Thunder: “Raining Fire” update, the self-propelled gun will join the ranks of rank I vehicles in the Japanese ground forces research tree. Vehicles of this class are widely represented in the game and have their fans. The advantages of such vehicles are huge firepower and acceptable mobility, the disadvantages are low protection and rather high visibility.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun is a classic of the "glass cannon". The absence of a turret and the high seating position of the gun operators makes the crew open to any damage, including machine gun fire, aviation and artillery strikes. However, the huge damage of the gun makes the risk to the crew justified to strategists - the 120mm naval gun fires only high-explosive fragmentation shells, each of which contains almost 2 kg of explosives in TNT equivalent! After each shot, you need to look for cover, it will take the crew some time to reload the giant cannon. The Chi-Ha Long Gun gets to the shelter quickly enough - even a heavy cannon does not prevent the Chi-Ha chassis from accelerating to a speed of just over 40 km / h.

The Chi-Ha Long Gun will be a good addition to the starting setups of Japanese vehicles. Each shot from this self-propelled gun inflicts critical damage to light protected targets, but every enemy shot threatens to immediately send the brave Japanese to the hangar. “Tank Biathlon” and “Sea Biathlon”

For the first time in War Thunder! We are announcing the start of the military sports competition: “Tank Biathlon” and “Sea Biathlon”. Compete with other participants in the skills of completing an obstacle course and precision shooting in modern tanks and warships.

For the time of the event, participants will receive predefined vehicle presets.

Tank biathlon: Т-72B3 or Т-80U by selecting USSR or the ZTZ96A by selecting China
Sea biathlon: Pr.206 "Shershen".

"Sea Biathlon" will be available from next week.

To access the Tank Biathlon you need to select USSR or China ground vehicles. To access Sea Biathlon you need to select any ship of any in-game nation.

In Tank Biathlon there are 40 camouflages of 4 types (red, blue, green and yellow) available for each tank from the list:

Т-72B3 (will be available with the next major update), T-80U, M1A2 Abrams, Leopard 2A5, Challenger 2 (2F), Type 90 (B), ZTZ96A, Ariete PSO, Leclerc and Strv 122.

In Sea Biathlon there are 6 camouflages for the following ships: Asheville (PGM-84), TS-Boot Proj. 206, Project 206, Fairmile D (697), Chikugo, Saetta P-494.

You can exchange vouchers for camouflages using the Workshop → Biathlon that will be available until the 14th of September. After that date any unused “Camouflage exchange vouchers” will be removed from your inventory.

[h3]Task[/h3]
In the Tank Biathlon four crews will enter the race and will strive to reach the finish line first! You need to pass the obstacle course: overpass, snake, water barrier, whilst hitting the target from the main calibre cannon and machine gun by shooting from the static position and while moving.

In the Sea Biathlon four commanders will join the course. On the way to the finish line you need to destroy various targets using main calibre cannons and torpedoes. Each destroyed target will activate a short boost. Use it to be the first to the finish line!

[h3]Special features[/h3]

Custom camos are available as coupons, which will be activated automatically on your account. Coupons can’t be exchanged or sold on the market.
You may receive a coupon for camo for the vehicle you haven’t researched yet. The new camo will become available after researching and purchasing the vehicle it belongs to.
Unused ‘Vouchers for camo’ will be disabled on September 14th.

”Tank Biathlon”

You will be able to choose one nation’s camo from the actual Tank Biathlon show: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Syria, Kirgizia, Armenia, or Serbia for the T-72B3 and T-80U. ZTZ96A only has the Chinese camo available.
Follow the route highlighted by markers. You will need to drive back to any missed points.
The tank will slow down in ramming the bollards.
Every crew receives limited ammo to complete the race. Additional rounds can be achieved after vehicle stops.
Huge targets can be destroyed only by cannon shells. Minor targets can be hit with machine gun fire also.

“Sea Biathlon”

During the race you’ll be able to get up to 7 speed-ups. Use them wisely.
Torpedoes are extremely effective versus huge or distant targets.
Targets available to destroy vary; balloons, motor boats and ships, as well as mines.
