The J35 Draken is a Swedish supersonic double delta wing jet fighter of the early Cold War era, renown for its excellent flight characteristics and unique visual appearance. Soon, pilots will have the chance to take control over one of the most iconic jet fighters of the early Cold War in War Thunder update 1.97 ‘Viking Fury’!

In War Thunder, the J35 Draken will come to the game as part of update 1.97 ‘Viking Fury’, and will immediately become the new top jet fighter available to Swedish pilots with the release of the next update. The Draken is arriving to the game in one of its later variants - the J35D.





The highly anticipated J35D Draken is arriving to the aerial battlefields of War Thunder very soon™ and will become available to all pilots as the new top Swedish jet fighter with the release of the upcoming update 1.97 ‘Viking Fury’! We’ll see you there pilots!

The L-62 ANTI II is a Swedish SPAA design, developed in the early 1930’s by the AB Landsverk company based on their L-60 light tank. Despite being built in only small numbers and used primarily by foreign nations, the L-62 ANTI II will be one of many interesting units awaiting tankers in the Swedish ground forces tree, coming to War Thunder as part of update 1.97!

In War Thunder, the L-62 ANTI II will be one of many interesting vehicles awaiting tankers in the upcoming Swedish ground forces tree, arriving in the game as part of update 1.97. Being a rank III SPAA vehicle, the L-62 ANTI II is a highly flexible machine, capable of both taking on aircraft when used in its intended role, as well as lightly armored ground vehicles thanks to its slow-firing, yet very punchy 40mm Bofors cannon!





The L-62 ANTI II is coming to War Thunder as part of the upcoming update 1.97 and will await all tankers at the mid ranks of the brand new Swedish ground forces tree. We present to you “Denmark”, a new location for aircraft battles in War Thunder. it will be added to the rotation of maps for aircraft battles with the release of update “´1.97 “Viking Fury”!

The Scandinavian theme continues not only with the new vehicles but also with the locations in the “Viking Fury” upcoming 1.97 update. Not so very long ago we showed you a location for mixed battles; “Sweden”, today we would like to present a new map for aviation - “Denmark”. The location is based on the surroundings of the Kattegat Strait and the cities of Aarhus, Odense and Kalundborg.





The War Thunder Team

The CV 90105 TML is an experimental light tank, developed in the mid 1990s as part of a joint venture between the Swedish Hägglunds and French GIAT companies. Arriving as part of the Swedish ground forces tree with War Thunder update 1.97 ‘Viking Fury’, tankers can look forward to commanding this unique piece of Swedish ground tech!

In War Thunder, the CV 90105 TML will be the top ranking premium vehicle, available at rank VI of the upcoming Swedish ground forces tree with the release of update 1.97 ‘Viking Fury’. Compared to the standard version of the Strf 90, this experimental version of the vehicle features a different turret, housing a bigger caliber cannon as well as offering the usual premium reward bonuses, thus speeding up progress towards acquiring the top tier Swedish ground tech!





Contrasted with the standard Strf 90, also available to tankers in the regular tree under the name ‘Strf 90C’, the CV 90105 is a further development of the vehicle, featuring an upgraded version of the GIAT TML turret. The new turret also houses the vehicle’s second most notable upgrade - the larger 105mm G2 cannon with stabilizer.

A new Soviet top rank tank with good frontal protection and guided munitions will burst into high rank battles with the release of the War Thunder update 1.97 “Viking Fury”!

By the middle of the 1980s, there was an objective need to upgrade the main battle tank of the Soviet Union - T-72 to modern battle performance values. The fact is that the vehicle seriously lacked firepower and modern fire control systems and its protection which wasn’t bad at the time of conception, became obsolete due to the emergence of new powerful weapons. The big tank modernization program implied a comprehensive improvement of the T-72 in all its key characteristics.





T-72B will be one of the stars of the upcoming War Thunder update 1.97 “Viking Fury” and definitely deserves the attention of all tankers. The patch is already approaching very soon, follow the news!
