A Plane, Ship and Decal for the Anniversary of the JSDF!



In 1952, American instructors trained the first soldiers of the Japanese National Security Forces. Two years later on July 1st 1954, the Japanese Self-Defense Forces were formed. In January 1955, the United States transferred its first 85 aircraft to the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces. In total they have 712 aircraft in service, of which 321 are fighters.

[h3]The J2M4 Kai and IJN Kiyoshimo are temporarily available for Golden Eagles![/h3]
In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, the following vehicles are available for 3,850 and 4,880 respectively.

When: From today until July 4th (09:00 GMT).
Where: Japan > Aviation / Bluewater fleet > Premium vehicles.


About each of these vehicles
  • The J2M4 Kai is a prototype of the Raiden series, designed to improve the fighter’s performance at high altitudes. Thanks to its rate of climb and good armament, it’s best suited for passing attacks. The guns have an impressive 680 rounds of ammunition in total!
  • The IJN Kiyoshimo destroyer has decent mobility and is equipped with good anti-air defences and 16 torpedoes. Its 127 mm main guns have a slow traverse speed, but they make up for it with good ballistics and a decent rate of fire!

Task: Play 3 battles using Japanese vehicles at rank III or higher to receive the “Flag of the Infantry Battalion” decal.

Additional details:
  • You must use a minimum of rank III.
  • Your activity must not be below 70%.
  • You can complete the task in random battles, except for Enduring Confrontation missions, and [Assault] mode.
  • Track your progress in the hangar by clicking Nickname → Achievements → Holidays → Japan Self-Defense Forces Day.
  • You can find the decal in the “Holidays” tab in the Customization menu.

Celebrating Swedish Air Force Day with Aircraft and a Unique Decal!



Since its founding on July 1st 1926, the Swedish Air Force has been involved in very few conflicts. One squadron of volunteers came to the aid of Finland in the Soviet-Finnish war, but in WWII Sweden remained neutral. Officially, the Swedish Air Force took part in battles only during the Congolese crisis in 1961-1964, and in 2011 they patrolled the skies over Libya.

[h3]The J29D and J35A are temporarily available for Golden Eagles![/h3]
These two Swedish jet fighters are temporarily returning to sale for Golden Eagles for 8,910 and 9,090 each respectively.

About these jet aircraft
  • The J29D Tunnan is a prototype created in 1952 based on the J29A, armed with 4 x 30 mm cannons. It’s very fast and versatile, and depending on the choice of weapons, it’s suitable for any role, be it attack or interception.
  • The J35A Draken is an extremely maneuverable and fast-climbing fighter, armed with 2 x 30 mm cannons. This aircraft is also capable of carrying 4 x RB24 air-to-air missiles and m/56D rockets!

[h2]Aircraft[/h2]
  • F-104G (France) — the lack of separate Battle Ratings for Air and Ground battles has been fixed.
  • JAS39C — the AGM-65G missile and its modification have been added. The RB 75 modification has been removed, RB 75 missiles will be available when researching the RB 75T modification. The amount used to unlock the RB 75 modification with Research Points, Silver Lions or Golden Eagles has been compensated. The RB 75T modification has been moved from level 4 to level 3 in the modification research window.
  • Su-17M4 — a bug that made it impossible to take large-caliber countermeasures into battle has been fixed.

[h2]Naval Vessels[/h2]
  • A bug where gun stabilizers for boats were turned off at speeds above 80 km/h has been fixed.

Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update.   • USS Flagstaff — the physics behavior interaction with water has been fixed.

[h2]Interface[/h2]
  • A bug that caused the “Your research has been completed” window to not close automatically after purchasing the vehicle and not putting it into a crewslot has been fixed.
  • A bug that caused the temporary connection text between two vehicles in the tech tree (this appears when a new vehicle is introduced between two connected vehicles) to sometimes mention other random vehicles has been fixed.
  • A bug where the selection could skip and not select some elements of the crewslot on the vehicle selection screen in battle when using a gamepad has been fixed.

[h2]Other[/h2]
  • A bug where depth charges did not have sound and visual effects when exploding has been fixed. (Report).
  • A bug that caused severely damaged enemies that were destroyed by allies to not count towards the Service Record of the player who dealt severe damage, counting only to the in-battle scoreboard, has been fixed. (Report).

Founding of the South African National Defence Force: Rooikat 105 Returns!



In 1910, the Union of South Africa was formed, and two years later on July 1st 1912, the Defence Forces were founded. They served in WWI and WWII, as well as the Korean War. Currently, 74,000 people serve in the South African National Defence Forces.

The Rooikat 105 returns for Golden Eagles and is here to stay!

In honor of the 112th anniversary of the South African National Defence Force, the Rooikat 105 is back for 9,090 Golden Eagles and will not be gone.

[h3]About this tank[/h3]
  • The Rooikat 105 is the ‘Caracal’, already well-known to fans of South African vehicles, but instead of a 76 mm cannon, it has a 105 mm gun. This gun has good armor penetration and a thermal imager and laser rangefinder to provide easy shooting in any conditions. Flank as much as possible and drive on roads where the Rooikat maintains excellent speed.
