Fair Play: October 2024

We’re constantly working on removing cheaters from War Thunder. We rely on the Easy Anti-Cheat system to check for prohibited software usage, as well as on reports from players that we carefully go through. You can use the replay service on our website to report players to us who have violated the Terms of Service and the License Agreement of the game.
Banned accounts
Since our last fair play, we’ve blocked 7,164 accounts that were found to have violated the rules. Specifically 3.2.3 of the EULA namely in the automation of gameplay (using bots) and cheat software.
For complete transparency, we’re publishing the full list of these blocked players. This list will be available for two weeks after the publication of this article.
Recommendations
We recommend that you set a strong password for your account and enable two-step authentication in your profile security settings. We have the following 2FA options available: email, SMS, TOTP (Gaijin Pass/Google Authenticator), and Telegram bot, which we suggest trying if SMS 2FA messages are not reaching you.

We’d also suggest that you turn on 2FA for the email that is linked to your account for additional security. This will protect your account from fraudsters. And remember, don’t use forbidden client modifications and never share your account information with anyone!

Mobile Sniper: Boxer MGS

The Boxer MGS is one of the latest iterations of the Boxer IFV, originally developed under a German-Dutch joint venture, featuring a larger Belgian turret fitted with a powerful 105 mm main gun.
Boxer MGS: An Event Vehicle Light tank for Germany at Rank VII
At a glance:
 • Excellent mobility!
 • Powerful 105 mm cannon.
 • Autoloader.
 • Light protection.
Vehicle History
[expand]
Nearly a decade following its entry into service, the Belgian company John Cockerill developed a new modular turret system for the German-Dutch Boxer IFV under a private venture. Although supporting a wide range of armaments, the highlight of the upgrade was the possibility to equip the Boxer with a 105 mm cannon, turning it into a fully fledged fire support vehicle. The aim of the modification was to showcase the upgrade potential of the Boxer to potential customers. As of today, no orders have been placed by potential operators yet.
Meet the Boxer MGS!
The Boxer MGS is the main reward for the Mobile Sniper event that started today, joining the top rank of the German ground forces tree and expanding the Boxer series of fighting vehicles! This further development of the Boxer brings with it some unique upgrades and tradeoffs, which we’re eager to share with you in today’s devblog. So let’s get right into the details!

For those of you who took part in last winter’s marathon event, you may have got your hands on the nimble Vilkas IFV. Although it introduced the German tree to Spike missiles, the Bushmaster autocannon and offered unrivaled mobility, the Boxer MGS builds upon the Vilkas’ strengths and mixes things up considerably. For instance, the most striking difference can be observed in the different turret featured on the Boxer MGS. Unlike the Vilkas, this variant of the Boxer features a larger, manned turret housing a more powerful 105 mm cannon. Not only does the cannon enable the Boxer to engage even MBTs in long distance gun duels, but its autoloader also ensures that several shots can be put down range before being forced to move switch positions.

Unlike the Vilkas however, this variant of the Boxer doesn’t come equipped with ATGMs, thus somewhat decreasing the vehicle’s flexibility on the battlefield. As for the available ammo, the Boxer has access to several types of shells, including a HESH round for lighter vehicles and stinging DM63 APFSDS for MBTs.

What remains unchanged however, is the vehicle’s protection and, more importantly, its mobility! Just like the Vilkas, the Boxer MGS can reach a top speed of 103 km/h on paved roads, thanks to its powerful 720 HP engine. However, being outfitted with a much larger turret, gun and housing additional crew members means that the weight of the Boxer MGS also increased to 38 tons. As a result, the vehicle’s power-to-weight ratio has decreased, leading to slightly slower acceleration compared to the much lighter Vilkas. Being a wheeled gun platform also puts increased strain on the vehicle when faced with extreme terrain conditions such as deep snow or mud. Therefore, it’s best to stick to firm soil or even roads if you need to move locations quickly.

The menacing Boxer MGS can be earned during the Mobile Sniper event and will further expand the selection of heavily armed wheeled fighting vehicles for the German ground forces tree. Don’t miss your chance to get this unique IFV to strengthen your top tier vehicle setups! Happy hunting!

Please note that this vehicle’s characteristics may be changed before it is added to the game.
