Winner vehicles for the Victory anniversary

Dedicated to the great Victory Day we have prepared unique vehicles from the victorious nations for you in War Thunder, a memorable decal and many discounts in the in-game store and in the shop!

From 11:00 GMT on the 8th of May until 11:00 GMT on the 11th of May

Complete the tasks and get unique premium vehicles from the victorious nations!

LVT(A)(4) (USA)

An assault modification of a light US amphibious vehicle designed for fire support for landing forces. The main feature of this version is the short 75mm howitzer in the tank turret. The tank was actively used in battles for islands in the Pacifics, where powerful high-explosive fragmentation shells helped to crack open the firing points and fortifications of the Japanese coastal defenses. The LVT (A)-4 will be a good addition to the initial lineup of the US ground forces: the short-barreled howitzer works great at close distances, and the ability to swim will allow attacking opponents from unexpected directions!

Swordfish Mk.II (Britain)

The second modification of the cult British Fairey Swordfish biplane, designed to be used for air assault attacks on naval targets. Version II received a metal sheathing below the wing, to make possible the mounting of RP.3 rocket launchers, which significantly expand the combat potential of this biplane. In particular, the Swordfish can now be successfully used in low-rank mixed battles, as well as for ground attack missions in aviation game modes. A living legend, a beautiful and very combat effective aircraft, it is must-have in your collection!

G-5 TKA 106 (USSR)

The G-5 torpedo boats became the most common small vessel of this kind in the Soviet fleet during WWII. At the end of 1942, an experimental series of artillery boats was built, in which torpedo equipment was replaced with rocket launchers. During the tests, the project was recognized as successful and all 6 experimental boats were included in the second brigade of torpedo boats in the Black Sea Fleet. In War Thunder, the high-speed ‘sea Katyusha’ plays actively and boldly - sharp turns at high speed, non-stop machine-gun bursts and the grim howl of rockets! You need to give this a try!

To get the unique prize vehicles you need to complete any 3 tasks out of 5 in vehicles of rank III or higher (for naval battles of rank II or higher) in random battles.

The MS-15: Italian navy coming to War Thunder!

We are happy to reveal that in the upcoming War Thunder major update we plan to introduce the Italian navy to the game! We look forward to introducing these naval beauties and telling you about many of them in our upcoming Devblog articles, so keep an eye on the news!

Today we want to present one of the vessels that will be introduced as part of the Italian naval research tree - the torpedo boat MS-15.

In War Thunder, the CRDA 60t-class of Italian motor torpedo boats will be represented by several units. One of those is the MS-15 1a, a vessel of the first production series of the class. Together with many other unique Italian vessels of the mosquito fleet, the MS-15 will form the backbone of the early ranks in the brand new Italian naval tree, coming to War Thunder with upcoming update.

Offering a balanced combination of good seaworthiness and decent firepower, the MS-15 1a will be a perfect choice for captains ready to get their feet wet with the upcoming Italian naval forces. The MS-15 1a features a reasonable top speed of 33 knots (61 km/h), thanks to the power provided by three 1,150 horsepower petrol engines, generating a combined power output of 3,450 horsepower. Although it won’t win any races when pitted against some of its contenders at the early ranks, the MS-15 1a instead promises its captains excellent agility, which when coupled with the vessel’s relatively small silhouette, makes for quite the difficult target to hit at times.

ZSD-63: twin-barrel mower

The ZSD-63 is a Chinese SPAA, developed on the basis of the Type 63 APC in the late 80’s to address the urgent need for a modern mobile anti-air vehicle. Coming to War Thunder with the upcoming major update, the ZSD-63 will join the ranks of the Chinese ground tree, extending its SPAAG line with a powerful new addition!

In War Thunder, the ZSD-63 will be a new low rank Chinese SPAA vehicle awaiting all tankers in the upcoming update. Being a new addition to China’s lower ranks, the ZSD-63 will give Chinese tankers much needed access to a deadly SPAA vehicle, capable of shielding its allies on the ground from pesky airborne attackers!

The ZSD-63 is arriving to War Thunder ground forces as part of the upcoming update and will become available to all tankers at rank II of the Chinese ground tree. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to the news as we share more details on what players can expect with the next major update coming to the game in the near future. Until then, happy hunting tankers!
