[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]As some of you know, yesterday we did a gameplay showcase event about RuneQuest: Warlords, our upcoming turn-based strategy game set in the legendary world of Glorantha. During our special event, we revealed a lot about the game’s core features.[/p][p][/p][h3]A Strategy Game Rooted in Myth[/h3][p]Based on the classic RPG RuneQuest (Chaosium, 1978), RuneQuest: Warlords brings players into a world where myth, magic, and conflict shape every battle. Our goal was to translate the spirit of the original RPG into a deep tactical experience, filled with heroic decisions, hero-led armies, and powerful Runes that influence fate itself. [/p][h3]Main Campaign: Defend Talastar[/h3][p]The single-player campaign is set in Talastar, a borderland caught between the invading Lunar Empire and the corrupting forces of Chaos. You’ll follow Hahlgrim Ironsword, an Orlanthi warrior on a journey of justice and vengeance. The story unfolds over 18 missions across mythic landscapes and desperate conflicts. [/p][h3]Three Factions, Three Unique Playstyles[/h3][p]Each faction offers a distinct tactical identity:[/p]

• [p]Children of the Storm (Talastar): fast, mobile, aggressive. Masters of terrain and initiative, empowered by the Runes of Air and Movement.[/p]
• [p]Lunar Empire: disciplined and coordinated. Quartz-armored legions, ritual mages, and formation-based tactics backed by the Moon Rune.[/p]
• [p]Chaos: relentless, corruptive, regenerative. Mutating forces that grow stronger through death, drawing power from Chaos and Entropy.[/p]

Our Hero Spotlight turns to the dark edges of Glorantha with the reveal of Woowandor the Great Stag Rider. A chaotic scourge of the eastern frontier, Woowandor is the newest character sheet adapted from RuneQuest to RuneQuest: Warlords, our tactical turn-based strategy game. This broo warlord brings speed, ferocity, and corruption to the battlefield, embodying the raw, untamed violence of Dorastor’s most feared raiders.



Woowandor the Stag Rider is the elusive embodiment of Dorastor’s savagery. Cursed by many, this feared broo raider has earned his infamy through lightning-fast strikes and equally swift retreats. Throughout his reign as a warlord, none of his raids have been intercepted or caught off guard. In battle, Woowandor relies on the raw bestial strength of his warriors, the corruption of Chaos, and an utter disregard for his own losses.
