Bug Fixes for v1.4

• Fixed a crash in the multiplayer mission browser when a player had no custom missions of their own.
• Fixed incorrect loss trigger on Kraken's Wake mission.
• Fixed a crash that could occur during multiplayer fog-of-war games when a player had selected a unit that was about to move into the fog but had not yet animated.
• Fixed a crash within the custom mission browser where players had manually copied missions outside of the game.
• Buttons for joining or creating multiplayer games are now disabled until the action is complete. This prevents an issue where players could press the buttons multiple times and receive lobby errors while the lobby was still being prepared on the server.
• Updated localisations for the new UI elements added in 1.4.
• Funds lost during the "Select a Commander" screen for multiplayer games are now correctly applied when the game starts.
• If a player fails to select a commander for 20 seconds, then one will be chosen at random so the game can proceed.

Update 1.4 Now Live - Multiplayer Teams, New Lobby, Map Explorer, and More!

[p]Commanders! [/p][p][/p][p]The battlefield expands again with Warside v1.4, bringing with it some major multiplayer updates and quality-of-life enhancements.[/p][p][/p][p]As with all our updates, we welcome your feedback and comments on our forums.[/p][p][/p]
Multiplayer
[p][/p][p]Multiplayer games now support up to 4 players. We also added multiplayer teams, enabling you to play 2v2 (or even 3v1) on compatible missions, as well as up to 4-way FFAs.[/p][p][/p][p]We've added a new mission browser in the multiplayer lobby. Players can quickly select any community map (up to 4 players). The map will be automatically downloaded to all players, ready to start the game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We've updated the lobby interface to make managing games easier - especially with teams. Players are now able to quickly change their player order and select their team by clicking empty slots. The lobby host no longer has to be the first player.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Skirmish
[p][/p][p]We now support saving Skirmish missions - perfect for some of the giant maps made by our community. You can quit a Skirmish mission at any time, and your progress will be automatically saved. This applies to both built-in and community maps.[/p][p][/p][p]Multiple games can be in progress at once, so you can stop and play a different mission, and then return to a previous one. [/p][p][/p][p]Skirmish missions now also show a rank icon once completed. The system works the same as our main campaign, where we show the highest completed difficulty for that mission.[/p][p][/p]
Steam Deck Verified
[p][/p][p]It took a bit of back and forth, but we're now officially Steam Deck verified.[/p][p][/p][p]We've been fully compatible and playable on the Steam Deck for a while now, but it's nice to have completed the process and received the badge from Valve's Steam Deck team.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Dialogue Skipping
[p][/p][p]It's only a minor feature, but you've been giving us constant feedback on the need to skip mission dialogue. This has been especially true for players replaying the campaign on higher difficulties or going back to earn achievements.[/p][p][/p][p]With this patch, mission dialogue can now be skipped by holding the mouse or controller button for just over a second. A small progress animation will show during the "skip".[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Skipping dialogue will skip the current conversation. If there is more dialogue on your next turn, then you will need to hold the skip button again. We felt this gave the best balance between skippable text versus missing context.[/p][p][/p]
Additional Changes
[p][/p]
• [p]The AI has been updated to be better at the early game in Skirmish missions (especially when starting on a map with no starting units).[/p]
• [p]A tweaked pathing algorithm is now used by the AI to stop it from making "conga lines" of units. This would sometimes happen in the campaign when there were a lot of starting units, and a single fast movement route, like a road.[/p]
• [p]Fixed issue where Bike units would continue to loop their idle sound after moving.[/p]
• [p]Fixed issue where spamming clicks could open the mini-menu during dialogue sequences.[/p]
• [p]Fixed layout issue on main menu footer with 1600x900 screens.[/p]
• [p]Fixed crash when starting a new Skirmish mission whilst community missions were still loading in the background.[/p]
• [p]Fixed issue where AI players would pause briefly at the start of turns on larger maps.[/p][p][/p]
[p][/p]

Bug Fixes for v1.3

Changes:

• Added Tab key bind to jump to next unused unit (controller users can already use the shoulder buttons).
• The game version is now displayed on the main menu to make it easier for our team to help with support issues.
• Updated the contrast in subtitles to make them easier to read on Steam Deck.
• Enraged units with no target will start the turn "used" so they can't be used by the owning player until the effect expires.

Fixes:

• Fixed community maps browser not automatically loading the next set of maps once the player scrolled past 50.
• Fixed issue where a player was authenticating with Steam twice, which made community maps slower to load.
• Fixed crash when switching between color blindness modes after playing a Skirmish mission.
• Fixed incorrect font being used on power targeting hint ("Select 3 Targets") in CJK languages.
• Fixed issue with Mordred's power prompting for 3 targets instead of one.
• Fixed Blightguard spawning in incorrect state at end of Krakens Wake mission.
• Fixed issue where if an AI player ended it's turn too fast (under 0.6sec - only possible with fog), and a human player skipped the turn banner at the same time, then the music track would not change.
• Fixed issue where updating the game's language after starting a mission would not correctly update some of the labels in the main menu.
• Fixed unit abbreviations on unit production and inspector windows when viewed in languages other than English.
• Fixed various UI components that had font issues in CJK languages.
• Added missing translations for unit types and movement types for the production screen and unit inspector.
