Devlog #05 - "Magic"

Well, it's not really magic, but it's close to that. I'm working on a new weapon type: Barehand.
If you've played the demo, you'd know we can attach DNA vials to our weapon, but now you can implement them directly to the ground, which creates different "spells" for each vial.



Unfortunately, the demo version won't include this weapon, but stay tuned for more optimization and bug fixes.

Demo 1.3.2 - Play the demo on Steam Deck!

Version 1.3.2 of the demo is here and below are all the changes.

The UI of the Techniques and DNA Vials menu has been remade completely.

Added new VFXs to certain abilities and overhauled some old VFXs.

The demo is now playable on Steam Deck!!

Demo 1.3.1

Version 1.3.1 of the demo is here and below are all the changes.

[h3]UI overhaul[/h3]
Enjoy a new item menu and a new equipment menu. The equipment menu now displays weapon damage.

[h3]Assign to Quick Cast button[/h3]



You had the option to cast all the special abilities by using combinations of keys, but now you can also assign an ability to the quick cast button.

[h3]Other changes[/h3]
- Performance optimization.
- Dialogues adjustment.
- Added more story details to the opening of the game.
- Added quick travel.

Demo 1.3.0 - A huge demo overhaul

After a lot of consideration, we've decided to reduce the demo length from 1 hour to approximately 30 minutes. But, there'll be a very difficult level for you to try the combat of the game.

Below are all the changes.

[h3]Dialogues overhaul[/h3]
We've completely changed the dialogue in the beginning gameplay so it sounds less goofy and more serious.

[h3]Special Attacks[/h3]



Your knife and bow now have special moves that you can trigger by pressing the movement keys + attack key. But, you can quickly access your previous special attack by pressing Ctrl on your keyboard or X if you're using a gamepad.
This is just a test feature. If you enjoy the way to trigger the special attacks, we'll make it official.

[h3]An open level for you to test your skill[/h3]



After you've finished the demo (the ending showed up), you'll be transferred to a wide area and you'll be provided with a bow and some creature DNA vials for you to try on your weapons.

This area is mainly to showcase what the combat is like in Into Samomor. It's quite difficult but we hope it'll be enough for you to have a better understanding of the game's mechanics.

Devlog #04 - Special Abilities and new creatures

We'd like to share a quick look at what we've been working on.
Firstly, you'll be able to access all special abilities early game and they can be activated by using a combination of keys. Please see the gif below for a better understanding:



These special abilities enhance your basic attack, but if mixed with the right DNA bottles, it'll be extremely powerful. The gif above is what you'll be able to create if you fuse Pierce with Vines plus the Left Right Left Right combination.

Lastly, a new creature has been developed and it'll also have a back story or you can say a quest revolving around it!
