Update: Early Access 4.4! Character customization and Races!!!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

I finally introduced character customization and races!
I've wanted to do it for a long time, but there was always something more concrete that needed to be implemented.
CHANGES IN EARLY ACCESS 4.4:
- Character customization!
Now, when you start a new Adventure, you will have the opportunity to customize your alter ego.
There are not many variables: face, hair, beard, tunic, and, above all, RACE; however, for each variable, there are many choices, so I hope you find one that works for you.
Customization is only present at the start of the Adventure; therefore, after the start, you will not be able to change the physical aspects of your character.

- Although the races were officially already present, it was only an aesthetic effect.
Now, each race has bonuses and penalties for learning the various skills. So, an elf will increase his bow skill faster than an orc.
Obviously, the race can only be chosen at the beginning of the Adventure.

- When you open the panel that shows you the skills of a certain character, you will now also see values in green and red.
Those values tell you the bonuses/maluses of that race in each skill.
This way, you will understand that if you have a good bow, it is better to give it to an elf rather than a dwarf!

- I also added 5 difficulty levels.
I had to introduce this new feature because the game risked becoming frustrating for some and too easy for others.
The differences between the difficulties mainly concern the tenacity of the enemies.
The difficulty with which I conceived the game is the third, the middle one, also called "Mercenary".

- In Adventure, I introduced reputation in the top right bar, as at the start of the mode, it is very important, and it is boring to always go to the captain's tent to see his level.

I'll finally release version 1.0 on Friday!
It will not have major changes compared to today's, but there will be various balances in many areas, the correction of some translation errors and the change of some texts, in order to facilitate the understanding of some dynamics.

If you find any bugs or similar or noticeable imbalances, it would be great if you let me know in the next 24 hours so that I can try to resolve them before the official release.

That's all for now; see you in the next update!

Update: Early Access 4.3! SUPPORTS arrived!!!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

Today I bring you many changes and great news: the "Supports"
CHANGES IN EARLY ACCESS 4.3:
- SUPPORTS!!!
What are the Supports?
Are you tired of seeing your soldiers taking beatings without being able to do anything? From today, you can intervene!
Supports are "objects" that, by selecting them from the inventory and clicking on the battlefield, will generate a specific attack at the desired point.
They are not designed to turn the tide of a battle but to make you more involved in it and help your brave friends in times of need.
For now, the Supports available are the following:
arrow volley
fire arrow volley
poison arrow volley
healing arrow volley
piercing arrow volley
trebuchet volley
explosive mixture
incendiary mixture
freezing mixture
poisonous mixture
repulsive mixture
attractive mixture.

- In Adventure, I added 60 seconds to the duration of the portal.

- I have eliminated the green tick in crafting locations if the item in question has yet to be unlocked with reputation.

- Fixed an error that caused crashes in the camp after creating new mercenaries.

- Fixed a bug in crafting, where more ingredients than required were consumed.

- Following the addition of Supports, I was forced to change some groupings in the crafting locations in camp.

- Supports have been added as goods to merchants, both in Quick Run and in Adventure.

- Fixed an issue in Adventure battles that caused mercenaries to spawn inside impassable areas (such as walls).

- Fixed an error that caused the game to crash if entering a Quick Run after a battle in Adventure.

- Fixed an issue that limited the display of slot quantity to 99.

- Added the button to return to the Main Menu in the Quick Run screens.

That's all for now; see you in the next update!

Update: Early Access 4.2!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

Some quick changes to balance the start of the Adventure mode.
CHANGES IN EARLY ACCESS 4.2:
- Now, "Exploration" type missions give a reward when completed: 100 coins and 10 reputations.
It's not much, but this way, the player will always have an income available if he manages to extract from the battle.

- In the first two days of Adventure mode, the available missions will only be "Exploration" type missions.
This way, the player has time to gain some experience with the game before having to rush to face the more challenging missions.

- The recruitment of mercenaries at the beginning of the game was really too high, so I set that mercenaries can only have equipment whose unit cost does not exceed 1000 coins.
In any case, at the beginning, I recommend recruiting the cheapest soldiers and using the weapons in the containers next to the forge.

- I removed the objective bar at the top in Quick Runs because it's not needed anyway.

- If you were playing in Spanish or Portuguese, there was a translation problem in the Quick Run start screen, meaning the two translations were mixed up; everything should be fine now.

That's all for now; see you in the next update!

Update: Early Access 4.1!

Hi, Captains of Fortune!

Some quick changes in this update.
CHANGES IN EARLY ACCESS 4.1:
- Those who had already installed the game before version 4.0 will have had some problems with the controls.
This is due to the fact that I had to change them during the development of 4.0, and therefore, an incompatibility could have arisen.
This issue is the main reason for this update and should have been resolved.

- Now, even doing Exploration missions, you will have a minimal reward in money and reputation.
This should avoid situations where the player is unable to generate money.

- I changed some UI icons because today I found some more pleasant ones.

That's all for now; see you in the next update!

SUPER UPDATE - EA 4.0!!! Adventure mode is here!!!

Hello, Captains of Fortune!

I finally released the new update!!!
I've been working on it for months, so I really hope you like it.

The main core of this update is the Adventure mode.
This mode will allow you to create your own band of mercenaries from scratch.
The ultimate goal is to save the royal family: princess, prince, queen, and king.
Once you have completed these missions, you can continue playing for your personal pleasure as much as you want, considering that the enemies will become stronger and stronger day by day.
Here are the main changes in this update:
- Adventure mode.

- Hundreds of new items (weapons, armor, magic items, etc.).

- 4 new maps (with resources suited to its biome).

- Missions (only in Adventure mode).

- Extraction from the battlefield by summoning a portal.
What to do in Adventure mode?
This mode is divided into two parts: camp and battle.
Here is a list of the main activities to do while in camp:
- Recruit new mercenaries.

- Accept different types of missions, with the aim of accumulating money and reputation.

- Craft very powerful weapons, armor, food, equipment, and magical items.

- Buy and sell goods at markets.

- Unlock texts that narrate the character's troubled life before your arrival.

- Take on the 4 final missions, which are extremely difficult but extremely rewarding.

- This mode is theoretically infinite, but death is permanent (if you don't have the Resurrection Potion), so do your calculations well before accepting a mission.
Once you accept a mission and hit the battlefield, here's what you should do:
- Your main task is to complete the mission objective (in the Exploration mission, there is no pre-established objective).

- Collect as much material as possible during battles. This includes hunting, gathering wood, collecting rocks, and opening chests.

- Elite-type enemies (the red ones) drop parts of their bodies, which are essential for creating the best equipment.

- When you want to return to the camp, call the portal, look at the mini-map where it is, and reach it before the dragons reach you!
About the problems and balances of the old version?
I solved so many problems that I didn't even keep track of what they were.
Since the entire gameplay was changed to balance the new mode, I had to balance all the objects again from scratch, including enemies.

Given the large amount of objects and enemies, I trust in your help to best balance this new gameplay!
The game will necessarily have to be released in the time window from today to May 26th, otherwise I will have to postpone the release to the end of June and I can't afford it.
As a result, the date I have in mind is May 24, 2024; I hope to make it.

Until then, my activities will be 3:
- listen to your advice
- fix bugs and bad balances
- insert other cool features I have in mind

Unfortunately, I can no longer afford to pay for advertising, so word of mouth is the last marketing weapon at my disposal.
Tell your friend about this game, and I will be very grateful
