Luminous Skies: A Short Adventure News

Luminous Skies: Weeklong Discount

We currently have a 80% discount for Luminous Skies: Horizons until May 6th.

The Image above? That's an outpost that I had running in one of the test builds. I leaked that a few weeks ago onto a message board when someone was asking about performance diagnostics. I figured that I would share it with everyone since it is one of the areas I was working on to integrate into Luminous Skies: Horizons.

A direct link to the DLC, if you're curious:

If you're not sure, you are more than welcome to play A Short Adventure for free.

We hope you enjoy the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies Update and Announcements May 2024

Various bug and spelling fixes [implemented over the course of the last major announcement], including the removal of one of the NPCs accidentally showing up.

5 New companion conversations added:

On Training
Complete the Quest: An Eye For An Eye and visit the new Frostwind Training Ground.

Tempered Expectations
A new conversation can be had on the 2nd floor of the Mages Academy [requires both Senka and Fionn in the party].

An Amusing Sight and Heirlooms
Two conversations can be had with Lina in the Clear Lake Settlement: one in the shop and the other in the camp outskirts [prereq: have the conversation with her at the encampment north of Thorn Creek].

A Typical Day
One new conversation can be had with Irida in the Clear Lake Tavern [prereq: after recruiting Irida, the player needs to talk to her near the well in the town of Thorn Creek]

New locations to explore in the Clear Lake Settlement [the shop and the tavern].

New explorable location in Frostwind: Training Ground. Can be accessed through the overworld map north of Frostwind or by following the trail to on the outskirts of Frostwind.

Progess updates for Luminous Skies: Interstellar.

Primarily, I was working a new exploration zone for Luminous Skies: Interstellar. It's a city planet. It is a bit larger than the contested zone that was previewed in Horizons and it has a series of missions that take place directly after those missions. [The area in Horizons was created to demo what could be possible in a short period of time and it is a practice that will be carried over into creating new exploration zones for Horizons]

A couple of new conversations were also added on board the ship [given the player meets the requirements].

I figured that it'd help to at least let you know what I was working on, even if it wasn't something that could be played right away.

If you've been on the fence picking up the DLCs, a deep discount sale should be happening soon for Luminous Skies: Horizons.

In any case, we hope that you are enjoying the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: Weeklong Discount

We currently have a 20% discount for Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage until April 22th.

If you're not sure you are more than welcome to play A Short Adventure for free.

We hope you enjoy the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: The Obligatory April Fools Update

I had a whole fake update list prepped but I decided not to post it [I might do it below in the comments section].

Not because taking pot shots at current monetization isn't funny. But I didn't want someone taking what I wrote, in satire, seriously.

That said, there has been an update to Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage.

Embark on a new questline in Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage. Visit the peaceful fishing village by using the world gate found in the quest "The Way Back", which is a follow up quest to "Unaccounted Stone". It can be found in a cave south west of Thorn Creek on the mainland.

Pre-requirements: Complete the Pilgrimage Questline and have Ives and Maple in the party. Speak to Eric, he's usually wandering around the north east end of the fishing village.

It is a silly series of quests, appropriate for today.

We hope you're enjoying the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: Spring Event

There's a hidden spring event for both The Pilgrimage and Horizons DLCs.

To start it, the player will have to visit Thorn Creek and talk to this NPC and will mention some activity in the forest to the north.

After doing so, this location will appear in the overworld map.

This will lead to an explorable forest zone. There should be a small grey rabbit wandering around the map; interacting with it will start the boss encounter.

Once done, the player can revisit the town of Thorn Creek to reactivate the event.

This is just a fun little encounter that I wanted to share.

I hope that you are enjoying the game and have a great day.
