Allllllmost there...



it's coming along!
I have been tirelessly adding things to the hub world so it feels full of stuff to do.
peppering in mini games and side quests.
this video features acquiring the Bowler disguise/getting into Club Bowler along with some clips from the new playable intro (I removed the 7 min long intro, that back story will now be given slowly throughout the game)

also will have more bands on the Stage in Steamopolis, I'll be posting more details on the soon!

have to tweak a few more bosses and Alchemy Shells, then I am strongly considering starting in early access to get feedback from folks on things they like/don't like so I can fine tune it for the final full release. there is a decently large hub world at this point, so it seems like it would be a good idea to get a few players in to check it out.
if you would consider trying/giving feedback in early access maybe thumbs up this announcement so I can gauge if I should do that or just hold out and launch the full game when it's ready.

Boosting the visuals

I have been going over the whole hub world and all main levels to visually improve them, its been loads of work but I think it looks feels much nicer now.

in the hub world you can find lost parts which you can use to upgrade your main weapon, repair Zip-Lines to get around the world faster and some other stuff.
you will also come across Bowler Outposts which will often have region maps for your Steam-Dex!
there are rail-ports which once liberated from bowler control can be used to fast travel around the realm.
there are also lots of NPCs and little secrets peppered all around.

Horror Hollow
Uplands
Roughrider Ridge
The Grand Embankment
Galvanic Elevation
Tumble Town Junction
Green Wood Gulch

I have also been adding changes based on peoples feedback after playing the demo.
voices will be able to be turned off, I will also be getting voice acting done for some of the lines.
I will still have to do some myself and change the tone via AI cause I am too poor to hire actors for the whole thing lol. but hopefully it will add a campy charm like in those classic mega man X cut scenes

The main weapon will start with a faster fire speed and bullet speed so it feels nicer right out the gate.

I made the Dash last slightly longer and you can now jump up as you dash like in Mega Man X

working on adding an option in the menu to switch controls right to Mega Man-ish style.

I am also considering going into early access so I can really fine tune things as a smaller number of people try it and start exploring, love to know other peoples thoughts on that.

New Music & Hub World

The Hub world is almost finished! 
you can reach the main 8 Bowler bosses by journeying around the realm.


in your travels you will encounter lots of NPCs, Lost Parts that can be used to upgrade your Alchemy gun & all kinds of other stuff. 

I added a Camera which(once unlocked) you will be able to use to take photos as you explore, if you get good enough photos they will end up displayed in the Steamopolis Gallery!

Also added Nunk, he will follow you around and give you tips. 


When in Steamopolis you can listen to performers! Fredrik Rojas composer for VonGarland Castle will be on stage along with youtube artist 
Senn in Space! depending on the day you play it will be a different performer

Steam Punks Demo now available!

HEADS UP for Steam Deck users If the game fails to open on SteamDeck
go to the gear icon > Properties > compatibility and set that to ON (enable proton) on SteamDeck.
this should fix it if it isn't launching. 




The Steamopolis Archives are under attack!

Take control of Dunns and thwart the Bowler Gangs rampage!

the Steampunks Demo offers a slice of what is in store with Steam Punks.
The full game will of course include 


*data saving, everything you find/collect will remain in your inventory in the final game
*Steam Achievements
*Foods and other healing pick-ups.
*tons of items and power ups
*more music/voices etc. 
*tons of alchemy bullets/recipes and lore stone data
*Steam dex will track enemies you defeat like in the demo, but also have other features, like each time you see a new object you can interact with it will log that and give you info on what items are needed to use it. 
*8 main stages + intro, midpoint and final stage along with sub-missions.
*Hub towns and many NPCs
*lots more!
